I'm fine if businesses do it. Private businesses. Being out in public, using public transportation, etc? Nah.

Question: would you be ok with a business not allowing felons to enter or be serviced? It protects the business and the customers.

Can bars ban people with HIV? It protects the customers if they do.
Lol.

How do we know if Big Flu isn't paying doctors to say those people died from Covid?
Booty stolen from twitter:

"Big Vax is trying to take away our ventilators"

Lack of brain function is a medical problem.

Disagree.

True, but the chances of that are greatly reduced by removing the unvaccinated from the bus.

The numerical chances of that are still low.

7 day average number of cases in the US is now 78k. Let's be generous and make it 150k. 330 million people, 160 million vaccinated which means 170 million unvaccinated.

150k/170 million = 0.088% of the unvaccinated would have covid, assuming zero vaccinated covid positive subjects.

Not saying it's hard to catch covid if you are not careful, in certain situations, etc, and it is a real threat, just saying that the % of the population of the unvaccinated that currently have covid is low. I don't think starting on the path of restriction of movement is a step in the right direction. Leads to china's social credit system and what not.

I think you are confusing the number of NEW cases PER DAY, with the number of cases total.

How many active cases are there now? What % would you guess of unvaccinated persons that currently have covid?

I don't know the number, but it's clearly much larger than the number that tested positive today.

The safe thing to do is to assume that all unvaccinated people carry the virus. They all will sooner or later.

boycott by standing still man! burn that vaccination card!!!!!

Big difference between being choosing to vaccinated and forcing it on people or restricting movement because one didn't get one.

If the vaccination numbers are low, it's a failure of providing enough information for those to make informed decisions.

I couldn't get a work permit or work visa to work overseas without a vaccination record...this is no new situation...my son had to have his vaccination records translated from Chinese to english before he could enter the Wilsonville school system...the military requires it of all personel.....making it a big deal given our conditions now is redundant in my view...people should have incentive to protect others

Well, you apparently feel that government should control if we can leave the house or not.

I could leave my house anytime.....it's not the govt dude.....it's the medical community...the rules are for public health, not risky capitalistic consumption frenzies....my son got his shots and went to american public school....I got mine and worked in a medical college overseas....it's damned simple....and the sooner people stop playing political ping pong over it the sooner it'll go away...I got my shot on recommendation from the heart surgeon who saved my life and he's not even an american citizen...perspective..the govt didn't make me do it...the lack of govt made me do it...

People can drive without a license, but it is not an issue to require it to ensure that they do the minimum to protect others from their driving by passing a basic ability test. The same is true of vaccines. If you do not want to do the bare minimum to protect others from your decisions - no one owes you anything.

Either do that, or pass a law that if someone traces an infection back to you and you are not vaccinated, you face criminal negligence for endangering others.

Time to call the "morally" unvaccinated during a pandemic what they are - a public health hazard - and treat them accordingly. You can not demand to be protected by society and actively endanger it. Hypocrites.

It will go away....that's rich. Just like shutting down for 2 weeks to flatten the curve?

Once people are used to movement licenses, in comes the social credit system. And it will seem normal, and you will justify it somehow.

End the liability waiver of vaccine manufacturers then. That will increase the distribution greatly.

Forcing medical treatments or taking away rights from those that choose not to get vaccinated is never a good look. It's how fascists operate.

I got the shot...no need to justify anything...I can travel if I like...has nothing to do with a credit system..has to do with common sense and if dumb fuckers don't wake up and take responsibility you might be right...it might end up too late but as of now we can kill this thing if enough people take the precautions....you din't buck the system nor did I...no need to bitch about it my friend...you did the right thing

stop using a false narrative Eric....my daughter has a condition that won't allow her to get vaccinated and so does my nurse at the VA clinic....nobody will force either of them to get the shot because they can't get it...my daughter is working today although she's tested constantly...she works in the travel industry in San Diego. She wishes she could get a shot.

If this goes through, your daughter will either be forced to get vaccinated or her rights will be restricted. Right now she is merely classified as an anti-vaxxer. It's how these classifications work.

Shortly, the constant testing won't be enough and her right to work will be terminated.

none of that is true....certain immune system disorders cannot handle the vaccine...she just won't be allowed to work for the govt if they pass that law...or the military...worst case...she'll work from home again which she did until recently..her medical condition has restricted her all her life already..this is just another barrier for her...she can't handle much sunlight either

If there are movement licenses for the unvaccinated, then she will be restricted. How would you like if she would never be able to get on a plane again?

..she is going to be fine and will stay safe until she can take that risk again....she has flown once in her life but she has a car and usually drives ...lot of people in NYC have never driven a car anywhere...doesn't affect them...not everyone needs to go to Vegas every other week . and she can drive there from San Diego if she needs to....I'd rather see her stay home and survive than die partying in Florida ...she knows very well what her limitations are these days and seems to handle it...she's raising two kids now...flying around would terrify her because she is not vaccinated so it's just set a parameter for her safety...she suffers from Lupus

Slippery slope theory doesn't apply to every situation.

Seat belt laws didn't result in government telling you where you could go for your summer vacation.

Smoking laws didn't result in mandatory daily kale requirements.

Background check laws didn't result in the government battering down your door and confiscating all your weapons.

Well, she is lucky she is careful and chooses not to. But how would she feel if she couldn't make her own choices? Because that's what's coming.

There are lots of choices people can't make for themselves....we adapt...or we drive the wrong way down a one way street because we think rules suck...we are in this mess today because of those idiots who think the rules suck

It’s so insane that people think getting a vaccine or having to show you got it is all part of a massive government conspiracy to eventually put microchips in us or something. It’s gotta be exhausting to think every single thing is part of some crazy plan to kill you. It’s a vaccine. Get it. Or don’t but deal with the consequences. Fucking pathetic

Missouri has one of the worst outbreaks in the country, so St. Louis County health officer instituted mask mandate. State attorney general, who is running for Senate seat Roy Blunt is vacating, filed legal challenge. At a county board meeting, the health officer was pelted with racist abuse from mask free crowd who cheered as mandate was overturned. Now, one of the participants has Covid so recommended others there quarantine. But they don't have to because freedom.

A number of Southern governors who oppose mask mandates and vaccine requirements because government can't tell them what to do about health care have filed amicus briefs with the US Supreme Court, asking the court to overturn Roe v Wade so they can outlaw all abortions.
