They're not all vaccinated...children...vaccinated people can still get covid...72 hour tests could be faulty as someone could be negative then contract covid between that time and the game day...because the Blazers said so.

But they said you have to show proof of vaccination to get in?

Proof of vaccination or negative test within 72 hours of event for patrons 12 years of age and older. Children under 12 can still go and can still spread it, you could get sick within the 72 hours between the test and event and spread it, a vaccinated person can have a breakthrough case and spread it. So masks are needed. I actually think they should take all of these precautions and check temperatures on the way in but maybe that's just me.

They should require all people regardless of status to show a negative covid test.

The negative covid test is expensive and the likelihood of a crowd filled with vaccinated people in masks becoming a superspreader is not likely. These guys have done the risk analysis and are also trying to drive up vaccinations.

That's it... I was going to by a pair of courtside season tickets, but now that I have to wear a mask, I'll just stay home... that'll show the Blazers to not mess with my freedom!

This has nothing to do with the Blazers. This is about people’s opinions on COVID. Move it bro! Don’t come on here to see this bullshit!

It's about people's opinions on the specific announcement by the Blazers that they have no respect for The Constitution or The Bill of Rights, or their fans.

Seems you're a bit overwrought over a conversation that you're not even a part of.

I can smell the fear in your posts.

Cool... so, as long as they have their card, they can go in with covid and spread it, but someone who doesn't have their card, or a negative test, but feels perfectly fine, can't go in? Not very smart thinking.

Take your tin foil helmet with coat hanger antennas off, and understand that by ignoring science for some asinine conspiracy theory, you're actually the one violating sane peoples rights.

The constitution provides private organizations like the Blazers with the rights to do things at their place of business the way they want to, within the law.

Do you look at the "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service." signs and feel like their treading on your freedom?

The difference is that people that walk into a store without their shirts on aren't posing a threat to the health of other customers but they are possibly making others feel uncomfortable. In this case the precautions the Blazers are taking both protect their patrons/fans from a threat to their health and make many of them feel more comfortable and safe.

Google "asymptomatic".

I tried and found nothing of the sort, so feel free to post a link.

I did however find out that in the US the Roman Catholic Church has an estimated operating budget of $100 billion, so the fact you allege they give over 200 billion in aid to the US annually is extremely generous!

Interestingly enough, when I search for how much aid the church gave the US annually, the entire first page of google had a story about how the U.S. Roman Catholic Church "used a special and unprecedented exemption from federal rules to amass at least $1.4 billion in taxpayer-backed coronavirus aid, with many millions going to dioceses that have paid huge settlements or sought bankruptcy protection because of clergy sexual abuse cover-ups." The church actually used the federal government's signature small business relief program.

"As the pandemic began to unfold, scores of Catholic dioceses across the US received aid through the Paycheck Protection Program while sitting on well over $10bn in cash, short-term investments or other available funds, an Associated Press investigation has found. Despite the economic downturn, these assets have grown in many dioceses."

The numbers we're talking about are incredible. It's especially weird that an institution telling people to focus on faith and less on worldly possessions would be so wealthy. It’s as if that’s a primary motivation for them. It's a good thing they save tens of billions of dollars annually. "When they buy stuff, they don't pay sales taxes. When they sell stuff at a profit, they don't pay capital gains tax. If they spend less than they take in, they don't pay corporate income taxes. Priests, ministers, rabbis and the like get "parsonage exemptions" that let them deduct mortgage payments, rent and other living expenses when they're doing their income taxes. They also are the only group allowed to opt out of Social Security taxes (and benefits)."

Anyway, thanks for asking me to search for how charitable the Catholic Church is.
Gifts to the public can be more than just cash. There's meals on wheels, habitat for humanity and a million other forms. Our church is always giving food, shelter and items of assistance such as tents and sleeping bags.
Churches tend to give more than they take.

I didn’t sign up for any debates.[/QUOTE
Hey, it's what most of us use at least casually for some form of non chaotic form of discourse in here. If you want to speak gibberish, that's your right but don't expect people to accept it and not comment on it or not expect them to refuse to discuss it with you.
Who wants to talk without some sort of rules?

I can smear my fear about conspiracies by insulting your posts.

Science isn't just biology and chemistry. At the time he is ignoring "your" science, you are completely ignoring sociology, sociotechnics and history. And probably mathematic at some point.

If that were really true, wouldn't they have gone broke at some point?
