typical Barfo…. How about addressing the meat of the post instead of only what you care to?

might make having an actual trusting conversation a bit more possible.
Until then not sure why you even quote me other than to actively try to create drama.
Your antics are very old my man…
He's quoting you to make a point about your post. You don't have to reply to him just because he quotes you...

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Extraordinary claims without evidence are just fairy tales.

It is socially acceptable for children to believe in fairy tales.

and your the judge on whats extraordinary or not.. yeah i know this…

Thats the problem. When one thinks they know everything, they think their thought is the standard for whats logical and whats not.

Thats living in a fairy tale…
and what was that about children? Lol.

No, the dictionary defines extraordinary very capably.

I have no idea. My guess is just like whites, there are probably several reasons.

No doubt about there being multiple factors (not calling them reasons because reasoning isn't necessarily involved). I have no idea either, but to the extent that there are statistically significant differences between races, (or between political parties, or between genders, or whatever...) then there must be some factor or factors that resonate more with one group than the other.

I have heard this theory discussed from various media sources. And quite frankly I would be insulted if I was a minority. It is essentially saying that minorities are so stupid that they don't trust whites with this vaccine even though over 100 million of them have also taken it. Now if it was only offered to minorities, then yeah I would stay the hell away from it.
I don't think so. I think many don't trust whites or even pay attention to whites. Many get their news from alternative sources because it's easier for them to understand and connect with people more like themselves. Unfortunately that can lead to more people being misinformed....

It doesn't mean they are less intelligent, it just means that their situation contributes to a difficulty in communication as well as trust.

Part of the problem with the Latino and Hispanic communities getting vaccinated is the false rumors that the vaccine was only for US citizens or attempting to get the vaccine or medical treatment can result in being deported.

My opinion isn't relevant to the current conversation.

oh but it is. You push your opinions as facts all the time and do so in a condescending way.

its the reason you jumped in here. To impose your opinion as some logical fact.

What is normal to one can be extraordinary to another. Extraordinary is a matter of perception based on experiences. but here you are pushing your perception as a fact.

But your game is old too my man.

Ive already conceded you are always right and your morality is the standard we should all strive for…so find another fool to play your logical/opinion game.

Sooo.. back to the virus…

You don't want to talk about the virus or facts. You want to sling dirt and get your feelings hurt when people call you on it.

You also like to pretend things like dictionary definitions are open to interpretation based on what you want them to mean.

But I will continue calling people out for trying to spread misinformation. Deal with it.

crawl out of your book and join the real world. Perception is everything.

your post eluded to mariss not being valid and the cdc is. So prove it. Stand by your words and take on that burden of proof you just outlined as being your responsibility for disclaiming mariss post as not truth compared to the cdc?

are you telling me instead of doing that i need to prove fauci has ties to Moderna????

Yeah. Pissin in the wind isn't productive, no doubt.
You alluded to Maris' post. I am eluding this conversation because it is increasingly unproductive.

I think that is a false rumor as well. I asked my wife that very question months ago. She emphatically said that was not the reason in the hospital she works at. They simply did not trust the science. Many think that it could affect their ability to have children. And even the chance that it could, was not worth the risk.

Again I am pro-vax. I have had my booster. So don't think I am making this shit up for some agenda I might have. My only point was that "certain" politicians (and media) fucked up by waiting too long to realize which demographics were anti-vax. Minorities should have been educated on it much earlier. (Like they have in the last 2 months) But for some, it was too late.

My white friend who just died believed that very stuff. Devout Catholic...

It's the reason many minorities and leaders in those communities give. Feel free to be offended on their behalf.

WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO USE FACTS FOR MONTHS. Even when we do they are dismissed and argued. Whether it’s statistics, science, history, nothing matters. There is absolutely nothing left to say. Anti vax, anti mask, etc don’t want to be told what to do and for sure don’t want to agree with the left who seem to be just about all in on the vaccine. There is no argument to be had at this point. “It is too rushed” - now what? “It isn’t FDA approved” - now what? “It doesn’t work” - check the goddamn numbers and data from those dying.

and some of us are concerned about ulterior motives skewing numbers and stats to fit their narrative. some people who push the stats and facts claim the other side twists things to fit their narrative, but refuse to acknowledge maybe.. just maybe, the other side.. thier side, can do the same.
its so one sided from some, its hilariously scary.

some blindly trust numbers that come out from those they side with politically. On both sides.

im skeptical of both, but get annoyed with the hypocrisy of some that blindly trust thier numbers while dismissing others because of an agenda.

Like big pharma cant have an agenda? The government?

Capital society after all. The american way. Take advantage of a situation for profit.
And if some are so willing to blindly follow and trust “thier government” while claiming the other side has an agenda… well the jokes on them.

At the end of the day there are several reliable and reasonable sources for this information. I don’t think many in here are going to some extreme left source and copying and pasting nonsense. We leave that for Maris. Also, we (Americans) have been absolutely bombarded with Trump and his cronies forcing the “fake news” agenda for 5 years so now every single thing is apparently a lie. The fbi, the cdc, all of it, just a big lie. It’s exhausting. We have a huge % who still read Facebook conspiracies and believe them over legitimate institutions. Is everything always perfect, no. But the govt isn’t out to get everyone and lying about every single thing. It’s out of control to the point that it is fundamentally ruining the country and dividing it like never before. It’s flat out dangerous and infuriating.

Well, we all have "leaders" who are not very bright.

If you say so. But it's not a media-invented narrative.

There's long-standing and justified mistrust in general in minority communities. There is also the issue, as has been mentioned by others, that some minority communities only get their news from very specific sources, often one of the few that speak in their language. This isn't a society in which everyone feels welcomed and integrated. That generally doesn't affect white society very much, so gets ignored, except in situations like this--when there's a societal threat and it's impossible to get everyone on the same page to fight it.

When the legitimate numbers are supported by the best medical professionals and are repeatable across many demographics they are reliable.

There is no legitimate reason to think Fauci is corrupt. There is no reason to think that if he were corrupt he would have the support of every other legitimate epidemiologist in the world.

There is no logical reason to distrust all of these things when they are all in agreement.

There would be legitimate whistle blowers with hard evidence. Nobody has been able to support their skepticism with anything remotely close to legitimate.
