My goodness...have you been watching going on in many states lately?...how can you realistically say with any degree of certainty with the drastic increase in new cases in many states, that hospitals won't be overwhelmed?

You're acting like Trump, and behaving irresponsibility by completely ignoring science and pretending there's not a serious problem.

Hate to break to you, but attitudes such as yours, is part of the problem.
 
The Mayors and Governors are opening the states/cities. Trump may be making remarks, but he's not really opening anything.

I think we should be in lockdown, but if the government says its ok to go places and open shit, I'm going to go places.

I think there is a real herd mentality even when it comes to the government with doing shit. Once one state opens shit, everyone else will because they don't want to feel left out.

No it’s attitudes like yours that is part of the problem. The virus isn’t going away so you don’t shut everything down forever out of fear. You track hospitalizations and deaths to gauge what the response should be. I submit that we are currently in good shape.

Actually we're not.

And the sad thing is when Trump finally focused on the virus he let the people around him do some good and smart things.

Everything was originally set up to wait it out until the end of July. Unemployment was boosted, SBA had funding for businesses, again, the end of July was the target. All we had to do is just hunker down, help each other out, and let the virus fade away. Instead of offering leadership and unity Trump politicized all of this.

He's the one who made wearing a fucking mask a left vs right thing. Why?

And just yesterday we hit 30k cases in a day again.

What are we going to do in September when school starts back up?

Concerning Covid19, the US has divided itself into several camps. But BY FAR the most interesting to me is this camp, which ranges from deal-with-it, we-can't-do-this-forever, open-the-economy to it-isn't-real, it'll-go-away-with-the-heat, the-Chinese-bioengineered-covid.

We all have to cope, it's true. I am opening a window bar and leaving the rest of our cafe closed off. We adapt. But CLEARLY, based on actual evidence and numbers, we are not doing well, and in fact, it seems like we are priming ourselves for a covid bomb in the fall.

It’s not about the number of cases. Why don’t you realize that? Jesus it’s like talking to a wall in here sometimes.
