If Speaker Pelosi broke the rules, she was wrong. See, not so hard to say. But I do question the consistency of a Trumper criticizing her while cheering 1500 people packed together without masks illegally having a campaign rally at the white house.
While wildly violating the Hatch Act.........

You already can not vote for people that were not born in the US even if they are US citizens - so that's not a good argument imho.

There needs to be a balance between concentration of power and accumulation of knowledge.

So, I would certainly be for term limits, it just needs to be a long enough time that people learn, become proficient and can do good, but not so long that they become complacent.
What citizens who are residents of my state and have met the qualifications can I not vote for? And no, I don't want term limits telling me there's an obstacle which makes it impossible for me to vote for them. I don't want to hear about stuff like age or residency or serving time in prison or stuff like that because that makes sense.

So, birth place is just meeting qualification but term limits is voter obstruction? Please, both limits who you can vote for - so, frankly that is a pretty weak argument.

There are already limits on who you can vote for - if it makes it easier for you - let's say that if they already served a certain amount of time they no longer meet the qualifications.

Agree, 10-12 years max as an example. There are more qualified people that need opportunity to serve. Having term limits on Presidents is good, no monarchy. So, having term limits on congress and supreme court justices prevents a potential 2 branch monopoly of power.

For people who are on the fence about what we do or don't know about covid.....this is a good read...this virus can cause relapse...damage internal organs and have many long term effects ..

A British medical study today also came out with a warning that after contracting the virus...you are definitely not out of the water or virus free for a minimum of 4 months after becoming infected...be safe and smart folks...not impatient and stubborn

Yes, one is reasonable and one is not. I see the logic in wanting someone to actually live in the area they represent. I do not see the logic in saying that this person meets every other reasonable qualification but I am prohibited from voting for him for no reasonable reason other than some minority of people are tired of his face?

I'm pretty damn careful because it is life or death for me. I doubt I would survive although you never know.

You are not paying attention, a person can be living next to you, a legal us citizen, but can not be voted for presidency because 50 years ago he was born in Canada.

They both make the same logic, one is that this could be a long term plant by a foreign power, the other a long term plant by a lobby.

Term limits in senate and congress make sense to me. We have people that have been in the senate and congress for like 40 or 50 years. Ridiculous. McConnell has been in the senate since 1985.

Setting term limits would not only stop monopolies of power in the legislative branch, but would bring in new ideas and a more diverse assembly.

We had a public health expert give a seminar at work today ( i work in big pharma). He estimated that conventional flu vaccines are about 40% effective every year. He thinks the covid ones will be about twice as effective given the right dose.

But the startling fact to me was when he said that they are preparing for over 35% of the population not wanting to take any vaccines, and that they are already funding programs to educate and inform these idiot anti-vaxxers. He said the idea of herd immunity is impossible given the low efficacy prediction and the number of morons who won't take it.

I'm finally in the 65%!

Just announced hall of fame baseball player Tom Seaver died of Corona virus.

I saw Seaver and Catfish Hunter duel in the 1973 World Series, when a bleacher seat cost $4. How great were those teams? Five players (Seaver and Willie Mays of Mets, Catfish, Reggie and Rollie of the A's) and both managers are in hall of fame.

May he forever have green grass, sunny days, and lose to the A's. RIP.

The Rock and his family all just tested positive!

No, he’s just happy there’s still no breakthrough treatments. Job security for those who use Trump as their 24 hour news cycle.

Right, he didn't ever have a job until Covid came along, and once it's over, it's surely the unemployment line for him.

Don't want someone with possible ties to a foreign adversary as your President of the United States, do you?
Also, please don't say I'm not listening just because I disagree with you. I wouldn't say that to you.

Never underestimate the intelligence of the American public.

You wrote "I see the logic in wanting someone to actually live in the area they represent" - I pointed that this is factually NOT something I said, because the example I gave has nothing to do with where they live but where they might have been born a long time ago - so I told you you are not listening because you ignored a fact we were discussing, not because of your opinion.
