Biggest donor to Governor DeathSantis is CEO of pharma company that manufactures Regneron. DeathSantis opposes masks and vaccines but is setting up pop-up clinics where people who can get Regneron at $1500 a pop.

Now it makes sense.

Free shots for everyone or expensive drug for those who can afford it.

I'd like to commend you on seeing the data here and realizing that your prior claims that masks don't work were incorrect.

I'd like to see you pilot a ship through a storm with a rudder that only works 27% of the time.

You’re only considering half of the face mask equation, and it’s not the most significant half in terms of reducing community spread. Masks do reduce the risk to the wearer, but as that article shows, the effectiveness is dependent upon the type of mask and the fit. The other more important part of the equation is reducing the spread of virus-laden aerosols when an infected person (including asymptomatic people who don’t even know they’re infected) coughs, sneezes, talks or simply breathes. Their masks absorbs some of that and reduces the velocity and distance of spread for what isn’t absorbed. The two effects of mask wearing , combined with physical distance, are an important tool in reducing spread. Not as big of a tool, of course, as the asshole I saw at the grocery store yesterday who was “complying” with the mask mandate by wearing his mask pulled down under his chin.

Would you rather be on a deckhand on a ship where pirates will spare 27% of the crew, or on a ship where pirates kill all of the crew?

27% isn't 100%, but it also isn't 0%.

Texas all Republican State supreme Court has upheld Covid infected governor's ban on mask mandates. School districts in major cities announced they will continue mask mandates regardless. I wonder if they will be arrested?

Tennessee governor told parents they can opt out of school mask mandates if they want their children to get sick, spread infection, possibly die or kill someone. Not how he phrased it.

I miss my grandson this week...we can't care for him because my daughter in laws coworker lied about her husband not being vaccinated and now has caused the entire company to lockdown and quarantine until test results are back...that and all the day care workers and parents of anyone who used the same daycares for their children...all over one irresponsible asshole who didn't think he needed to get the vax or tell people he contacted that he wasn't protected....I can only imagine how many more of these we're going to face moving into the school year....one step forward five steps back...get woke people!

If he doesn't understand that simple concept already he never will. It's the same argument for the vaccine - well people can still get COVID so it must not work. If everyone wore masks and got vaccinated the percentage of effectiveness is very high. Expecting perfection in a pandemic is ridiculous.

Well, my parents are hesitant about getting the booster now. I think there will be a lot of this amongst the vaccinated not following up. I'll have to put hard pressure on them to get the vaccine booster, their 6-8 month window is in Nov-Jan I believe.

I'll cut off their TV subscriptions, not visit, guilt trips, etc.
