I have posted the evidence on Fauci's lying on gain of function here before. Believe or not. I am now done with this conversation. Period.
I've read those posts and nobody who actually knows what gain of function is or knows anything about genetics or epidemiology believes Fauci lied about gain of function or did anything unethical.

If you think everyone who's knows more than you is a liar because you don't understand what's going on then you're going think a lot of people are liars.

If you're going to continue calling him out as a liar without a legitimate epidemiologist or other relavent expert backing up the cliam on record I'll keep pointing it out.

And it's not personal, I hope you understand. That is damaging misinformation. It would be irresponsible to allow it to stand unchallenged.

I'm fine moving posts from here that aren't about covid, but I'm curious where they are going?

I have seen some serious discussion including criticism of CDC policy (and for the record Dr. Fauci is not with CDC). For example people might not have access to good quality masks or to testing. That is what we need, serious discussion among knowledgeable people. Not stupid conspiracy mongering.

Son got his booster shot today....he was the last in our local family circle to get an appointment. Now that the new wave is spreading any shopping I do will be curbside pickup and I'll double up on the surgical masks outdoors or indoors in public...plan to make those trips very few and far between in the meantime...stay safe and hang in there folks!

I felt like I was coming down with something Friday night. I wasn't sure what it was other than upper respiratory stuffiness, sneezing, headache and general lethargy. I chose to stay home from family events Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. It was a very lonely Christmas for me. Not to mention, my wife's birthday was yesterday.

Anyway, I was able to get tested and received the good news!!

We are all a bit paranoid. Every stuffy nose or sneeze and I wonder....

And I truly wonder how long all of this is gonna last.
Unless a more dangerous varient evolves Omicron should infect everyone who hasn't been vaccinated by summer at latest.

Then hospitals should see relief and the pandemic should be over.

Maybe. I don't think we know yet that having Omicron once gives you sufficient protection against getting it again.

Good point. But it seems logical that even if you can catch it, if everybody has been infected or vaccinated hospitalizations should revert back to prepandemic norms.

Barring a more dangerous varient like we haven't yet seen.

My doc told me yesterday that along with Corona we are entering the flu season which will increase hospitalizations. Then in 3 weeks or so they will start to decline.

Fauci says that the shortened COVID-19 isolation guidelines were designed to 'get people back to jobs'

  • Dr. Anthony Fauci said the CDC reduced its coronavirus isolation guidelines to get people back to work.
  • The CDC cut the isolation period for people with asymptomatic COVID-19 cases from 10 days to five.
  • Fauci said this would let the economy run "not with a zero risk, but with a markedly diminished risk."
