You are entitled to your opinion and there is greed to he found everywhere. You dont have to be wealthy or a huge corporation to be greedy/selfhsh/thief.
I read on this site that families are buying new homes, remodeling, new creature comforts or necessities to live a decent life. Thats part capitalism along with a mixed market where you competition and some regulations. I never thought as a young person I would be able

Agree. Some of the most greedy selfish people I know are average Joe’s that are not rich.

Whatever you want to call this failing experiment, it isn’t capitalism. I don’t think we’ve ever actually tried capitalism. Having a country run by corporations who pay off politicians isn’t capitalism. Corporatism is more accurate.

It is not being kept in check. As such, it is destroying this country, as well as the livability of this planet.

Capitalism is destroying the potential quality of lives of our descendants...

Excellent point. The world is not binary, it is not black and white.

There are great things about capitalism and there are bad things. Luckily, we have been better than most of the world so far, mostly - but the on-going concentration of wealth is slowly making this into a class based society which is exactly what the founding fathers tried to avoid when they broke from England way back in the day.
 
There needs to be a balance in all things. Look at pro sports the salaries being paid and the TV contacts given. We the fanatical fans as consumers are the fuel that drives capitalism. Capital is the money/currency itself its the machinery, tools, chalkboards, implements to create jobs and the economy. A mixed enterprise where you have free markets and government regs is really what we have now. Competition and products quality and service and drive markets and keep the laggards in these areas at bay, and keep prices reasonable. If that goes bonkers then here usually is a correction and some business go under because they are mis managed and/or not able to compete by meeting the demands of consumers.
There is greed in all things, just because Dame and Doncic are multi multi millionaires and part of a machine doesn't make them greedy or un appreciative of their situation.
If the Blazers just operate only to pad their pockets without earning customers through a good product and service the organization will become laggards and attendance will dive.
I just stopped at the store and the young man that helped me said he just a bought a boat to do some salmon fishing, he was probably mid 20's. I commended him for being a hard worker and doing earning the right to do something he enjoys. Capitalism is all bad it just a way to exercise freedom and sure you can become a crook or help people its a choice. I know Dame helps people with his fortune and most good corporations do too.
 
I am sorry, but there are literally no rules to this shit. When people don't believe polls and/or links, etc. .

It is pretty clear that logic and belief don't make good argument material. So, there is literally no way to play this silly game.

People seem to want to argue over beliefs. That doesn't get anyone anywhere.

I am done with this, with no rules. I can't participate in any conversation, period.

Edit: Funny that the people against most things I have to say, ignore corruption threads like the plague, and the Unregulated capitalism killing the American Dream thread is a ghost town of members ignoring their parties corruption, as we all get gouged, by corporations, under Biden, during a pandemic...

Economist call it a mixed economy now as Government has more control with reg's and politicians.
A true capitalistic economy would be more free market with a whole lot less gov involvement.

Missouri fired public health director. He opposes mask and vaccine mandates and wants to force every woman to carry every pregnancy to term. But he thinks people should still get vaccinated. That is unacceptable.
