I've got four heart conditions. allergies to penicillin and two other much more powerful antibiotics, asthma, acute kidney failure, cancer survivor, low blood oxygen level, diabetes and a need for an elevated INR level and I get mad as hell at people near me without masks or if I find out they have not been vaccinated. Damn, they're playing with my life and I don't like it one tiny bit. Did I mention that I'm over seventy?

I was at a Vietnamese night club in Saigon watching a Vietnamese rock and roll band as it wailed away. It was hot and muggy. This woman lead guitar player suddenly faints and hits the floor right in the middle of a song. Instead of halting the music and attending to the very unfortunate lady some guy from behind a curtain steps out grabs the victim by both arms and drags her behind the curtain where hopefully she got some medical attention. It was both eye popping and surreal. I remember it as though it was yesterday.
The best bands in Vietnam were Filipino bands. I swear they could mimic perfectly American bands including the base singers.
