People with long COVID have symptoms such as pain, extreme fatigue and “brain fog,” or difficulty concentrating or remembering things. As of February 2022, the syndrome was estimated to affect about 16 million adults in the U.S. and hadforced between two million and four million Americans out of the workforce, many of whom have yet to return. Long COVID often arises in otherwise healthy young people, and it can follow even a mild initial infection. The risk appears at least slightly higher in people who were hospitalized for COVID and in older adults (who end up in the hospital more often). Women and those at socioeconomic disadvantage also face higher risk, as do people who smoke, are obese, or have any of an array of health conditions, particularly autoimmune disease. Vaccination appears to reduce the danger but does not entirely prevent long COVID.

We all need to take Long COVID seriously

COVID will continue to challenge health systems worldwide long term, including long COVID, infectious disease experts say. "No one should take (this) to mean COVID-19 is no longer a problem," said Mark Woolhouse, an epidemiologist at the University of Edinburgh.

"It is still a significant public health problem and looks likely to remain one for the foreseeable future."

What choices does he have sly? If he takes the vaccine it puts a 5G chip into his blood and if he takes the ivermectin he’s just shooting lizard people blood into his system. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

Don't forget Trump's other option....drinking disinfectants.

Sly please update the thread title [a la]:

As Emergency Ends, a Look at Covid’s U.S. Death Toll
By Lazaro Gamio, Eleanor Lutz and Albert SunMay 11, 2023

Since the coronavirus pandemic began more than three years ago, the United States has suffered wave after wave of loss. The expiration of the federal declaration of the Covid-19 public health emergency on Thursday signals a new outlook on the disease, and it presents a moment to look back at the toll the virus has taken.

This map shows where people have died of Covid at the highest rates. Few places were left untouched.

Covid-19 deaths per 100,000 people

A map of U.S. counties showing the range in death rates per 100,000 people from Covid 19.
Note: Data as of May 10, 2023, through the week ending May 3, 2023.

The pace of deaths has slowed greatly since early last year, but the toll has continued to climb. More than 1.1 million people have died.
The rest of the charts don't copy over well. They are kind of interesting though.

A Tennessee doctor lost his license after selling phony Covid vaccine waivers to people in three states, attesting to medical conditions, without ever meeting them. He was exposed when a news outlet heard tales and investigated. A reporter gave him the name of her Labrador and doctor wrote a Covid vaccine waiver for his "patient".
Oops.
@SlyPokerDog will be happy to know a dog was involved in taking down the quack.
