Could Knicks Trade Jamal Crawford?

The Knicks would have more to gain by trading Jamal Crawford than Stephon Marbury this season.

Crawford's contract extends through 2010, while Marbury's deal is expiring. New York would gain more financially by dealing Crawford, with Marbury's salary coming off the books in less than eight months.

Crawford hasn't looked comfortable in Mike D'Antoni's offense this preseason, either.

That's odd to hear; I thought Crawford would excel in D'Antoni's offense.

Maybe they want to just keep the younger guards like Duhon and Robinson....

I thought the same as you though, it seemed like it would fit Jamal's preference of style of play.

It's only preaseason. Crawford has had a history of struggling in the preseason.

Crawford is a safe bet to keep around because he is a bigger SG than Nate and it will help having him around once Nate starts getting banged up come January
