1) Man Down!
We lost Ed Davis in Free Agency. Not the worst thing, but he only got $4.1 mil for 1 year. Surely, we could have matched that!

2) Decision 2.0: The Empire Strikes Back
LBJ signs with the Lakers returning an era where Big Market Teams Dominate. K. Leonard is trying to force his way to join him. It would have been better for the Blazers had he stayed West.

3) Stauskas to PDX!
We spend vet min. on Stauskas. I have no problem with him, but he's not obviously better than Trent. Seems like wasted $$$. For only a little more, would much rather have liked to keep Davis.

4) Woj false-tweets
We got Super-Mario Hezonja in free agency! No, we didn't NY did. ooops. We accidentally get trolled by Woj!

5) Woj false-tweets 2.0
We find out the reason for the false tweet is that Mario chose the Knicks over us!

6) @HCP is happy...
and makes a troll thread!

What a day! You all should have been happy back in the good old days when we could pontificate about our two new shiny 19-year old rookies.

I don’t think this fee agency period could have gone any worse

Its just getting started
only 2 more hours in the day (first 24 hours). Day 2 will be better? I keep telling people that we won't make a deal until LBJ signs. Now that he has, if LAL gets Leonard, they'll need to dump, and our TPE will be an edge we have over other teams.

is it really a gut punch when a so-so player picks a train-wreck of a franchise over this dumpster fire of one?

I too, would have loved to keep Ed.

When Gronk answered criticism with the word trainwreck, several people accused him of a horrible insult.

Wizard, you will need to update your summary daily.

I'm so fucking dejected.

You know, I would like to change my avatar to something more 'cheerful' and 'hopeful' by the time the season starts, but looks like I am fucking Nostradamus instead.

The biggest one of them all:

Another year with Neil Olshey at the healm.

Maaaybe. I thought that Neil's job was pretty safe, but now I'm not so sure.
He's really putting a lot of pressure on Collins to perform, and he has to obtain a vet. If both of these things don't happen, he may not last the year.

Collins is our new Vonleh, given more minutes than he deserves in order to develop him. We needed Ed Davis for at least one more year. Even if Collins actually succeeds, Davis' presence would have taught him how to play. If he doesn't succeed like Vonleh, then more than 1 year for Davis.

Olshey will stay until economics says he has to trade McCollum right now. Like other GMs, he will quit because emotionally, he can't bring himself to dismantle what he has built.

What you don't understand is that Olshey has worked out that the key to him keeping his job is us overachieving. So he keeps having sucky offseasons, so we have really low expectations, so it's easy to overachieve! Hey, it's worked so far.

OK we lost Ed and we didn't get Lebron. (Which no one in their right mind thought we would get) I guess I missed what else has happened that has been so disastrous? Is it just losing Ed?

Nothing. And at least we were interested in Hezonja, which most likely means our MLE is in play. Btw Courtney Lee has evidently told people close to him he’s getting traded sooner than later. The Hezonja signing probably confirmed it.

I wish there was a way to get Julius Randle though.

Other teams moved forward, and we've moved backward. That's all.

All year long, status quoers say, wait till the draft. And wait till the first week in July. Then when Olshey flops, his enablers say, I don't understand what we have lost.

What we've lost is: another year, because our tradeless, clueless GM does nothing all year long except for right now. This peculiar GM earns his pay now or never.

Who moved forward besides the Lakers. OKC kept PG3 which hurt the Lakers so that was good, Who did Minny get? The Jazz?Houston? Denver? Thy signed their own guys. Right? so they all got better? How are the Clips doing? SA losing their star...did they get better? A whole 24 hours have gone by. Is it over yet?
