I wonder about that trade myself. Hopefully Babbit is a Kyle Korveresque player for us. Otherwise we will miss Martell's occasional defense and rebounding.Love it how Rice is already questioning the moves, and MB is right there to defend the Blazers. Rice says trading Martell is a mistake for essentially Luke Babbit, and MB says the team saved $8-9 million with the deal, and Rice comes back and says fans don't care about that.
So Pritchard was the one who leaked the story that he would be fired an hour before the draft making Allen and the Blazers looks like aholes.

I'm okay with trading a not-very-good reserve small forward for a good prospect with high level athleticism, shooting and the ability to rebound. Babbitt may not be the next <Pick Your Favourite Example Of A White Player Who Was Okay/Good/Great In The NBA>, but he doesn't have a terribly high bar to clear to be better than Webster.
It's very difficult to make someone look like an asshole unless they are indeed an asshole.
Smith says that KP should have fired LeGarry right after Penn was fired
What if Pritchard actually agreed with his agent and did actually want to leave this organization? Why fire his agent, then, if he knew he wanted out anyhow?
Well then he is a liar right? Because KP says he wanted to keep his job.

If you want to call Pritchard a liar, go for it. And actually, KP said "may the best man win" and that he was focused on the draft. I don't recall him saying he necessarily wanted to keep his job.

KP said:I love who I work with. Nate McMillan — I would do anything for him. Our players, I have great relationships (with them). Chad (Buchanan), Mike (Born), Beth (Hancock), Sarah (Mensah), I choose to be here. I want to be here.

Wasn't able to watch. What did fams do?
Yes, he wanted to be there, at that moment. Clearly he was choosing to be there when he said that, because he hadn't quit. Had he not been choosing to be here when he said that, I'm guessing he wouldn't have been there to say that.
Am I missing where he said he wanted to be here next season? He's talking in the present tense, unless I'm missing something. Help me out, barfo.
