Love it how Rice is already questioning the moves, and MB is right there to defend the Blazers. Rice says trading Martell is a mistake for essentially Luke Babbit, and MB says the team saved $8-9 million with the deal, and Rice comes back and says fans don't care about that.

I wonder about that trade myself. Hopefully Babbit is a Kyle Korveresque player for us. Otherwise we will miss Martell's occasional defense and rebounding.

I'm okay with trading a not-very-good reserve small forward for a good prospect with high level athleticism, shooting and the ability to rebound. Babbitt may not be the next <Pick Your Favourite Example Of A White Player Who Was Okay/Good/Great In The NBA>, but he doesn't have a terribly high bar to clear to be better than Webster.

So Pritchard was the one who leaked the story that he would be fired an hour before the draft making Allen and the Blazers looks like aholes.

According to Miller, he said KP came to him before the draft to decide to let the news out the day after. And PA agreed with that scenario. It was probably more like KP's agent.

It's very difficult to make someone look like an asshole unless they are indeed an asshole.

What Miller is saying how it went down is exactly how I thought. (Except that Paul had not made up his mind when KP approached him) But it was obviuos that KP and Paul did not have a huge fight on draft day. I believe that they both came to the conclusion that the relationship had come to an end. But both wanted KP to work the draft.

Larry Bird? That's not asking to much is it?

Brian Smith says Tom Penn, terrible influence, and KP pumped up his own reeboks up to much

Smith says that KP should have fired LeGarry right after Penn was fired

What if Pritchard actually agreed with his agent and did actually want to leave this organization? Why fire his agent, then, if he knew he wanted out anyhow?

Well then he is a liar right? Because KP says he wanted to keep his job.

Apparently to work for the Blazers, you need to fire your agent if the owner doesn't like your agent in order to keep your job.

But really, we're not looking for Yes Men ... we want independent thinkers...

If you want to call Pritchard a liar, go for it. And actually, KP said "may the best man win" and that he was focused on the draft. I don't recall him saying he necessarily wanted to keep his job.

KP never looked or acted like a person who wanted out.

He said he is going to fight for his job . . . one normally would read that to mean that he wants to keep his job.

I don't understand your obsession with protecting the agent. I get protecting KP . . . but why do you have a hard on for this agent. Or is it that you are so mad at PA that no one else can be at fault except Vulcan and PA?

You're pretty out there, but that's about as far-fetched of a speculation as I've ever read from you.

Wow.

I love who I work with. Nate McMillan — I would do anything for him. Our players, I have great relationships (with them). Chad (Buchanan), Mike (Born), Beth (Hancock), Sarah (Mensah), I choose to be here. I want to be here.

Yes, he wanted to be there, at that moment. Clearly he was choosing to be there when he said that, because he hadn't quit. Had he not been choosing to be here when he said that, I'm guessing he wouldn't have been there to say that.

Am I missing where he said he wanted to be here next season? He's talking in the present tense, unless I'm missing something. Help me out, barfo.

Wasn't able to watch. What did fams do?

They called him the "Son of Merlin" and showed a couple of pics of him.

Then, just now, he was hamming it up for the camera, wrestling with someone else from the crew.

Weirdo.
