Can't wait baby! I actually don't think Rice will be on though. I think he is in China.

yeah he is in china...last weeks show was jammed pack..ill probably be listening

Rice is there! Travis is on right now.

How long does courtside last tonight? Travis didn't even know who Hill was until MB and Rice told him Hill looked like Jesus lol.

it's back to 2 hours and I can't hear it online right now and I'm very pissed!

Yeah it's the weekly radio show.

wtf are you guys talking about? radio show?

Yes, it's a radio show with the Blazers broadcasters every Thursday from 6-8. There is usually a lot of good info for Blazer fans. Tonight they are talking about the team workouts and how good everyone looks. Sounds like Bynum is going to have his hands full with Oden. I'm sure you don't want to listen but here is a link to listen online:

recap please?

I would but I only listen to the first 20-30 minutes and just started listening again right now. I missed most of it. The main thing I heard early was how good Oden, Bayless and other guys look in the workouts. One of the last two games Oden, Joel, Bayless, Blake and not sure who else was playing against Webster's team and beat them pretty good. It sounded like Joel and Oden looked good together and Oden made a lot of good passes and Joel said he was a lot better passer then he thought. Joel did say Oden looked like a combination of Yao, Shaq and Howard and the sky is the limit for Oden but it will take time for him to learn everything.

I did catch the end of the Travis interview and he really didn't say much. He thought Oden looked like a monster and Bayless was a little like Roy when he came in as a rookie. He thought Bayless is even a better shooter then Webster.

One more thing Joel said is the one word that would describe Oden is "Power". He also was glad Hill was there to give him a little rest with going against Oden.

The way Joel sounded maybe we will have to keep Hill around so Oden doesn't injury Joel. Joel did say he is happy there is another big to go against Oden and give him a rest sometimes.

It works fine for me. That's to bad not sure why it isn't working for you.

Maybe it's because I'm in Louisville for work this whole week and they just got the "The Internets" last week! Damn rednecks!

Dang. It's not like Przybilla is the kind of guy who is likely to over-hype somebody. In fact, over the summer I remember Quick saying how Przybilla wasn't ready to concede the starting position just yet.

That he's saying these kind of things just goes to show how seriously good Oden is looking.

Joel isn't that kind of guy at all. He's very reserved, he never talks bad about anyone, but he doesn't overhype people. If he thinks Oden is the real deal, he means it.

He did sound pretty reserved but he did say a lot of good stuff about Oden. I don't think Joel is conceding for sure the starting job but it sort of sounds IMO like he can see the hand writing on the wall. He did say he is going to work hard for as many minutes as possible or something like that I can't remember exactly.

It's no shame for Joel to acknowledge that Oden is special. I think that many of us have been careful with our expectations for GO simply because it's almost too good to be true that we actually have him on our team.

I know that I can't wait to see him as a Blazer.

Imagine, right now, LeBron as a Blazer. Knowing that we have one of the top players (like top 2 or 3, and maybe THE top player) on our team, and will for the foreseeable future. That's almost unimaginable to me.

And yet... we have Oden. We have the best center prospect since Shaq, and maybe since Lew Alcindor. We have a guy with insane athletic gifts, incredible size, a level head on his shoulders, and a reportedly great work ethic.

There's no guarantee that Greg will fulfill his promise, but the mere fact that he might be what he might be... is insane and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it.

Ed O.

I usually don't say this to another dude, but...

Ed O, you gave me goosebumps.

As sensitive as he is, I thought he was a chic too!

Does any site put up a podcast of Courtside? I've looked at 95.5, but I've never seen it.

It's on Blazers.com a few days after the show. Probably Sat.

Is Ed O getting emotional on us?

What happened to logic and fact, dude?

Welcome to the party! (I can't wait ether)

"Greg Oden continues to impress everyone, and played in about six games on Wednesday before taking off to a community appearence. A guy who has also been incredibly impressive has been Jerryd Bayless, and that continued Wednesday. He had several vicious dunks, with one of them coming off a lob pass, in traffic, from Sergio Rodriguez. I knew Bayless was explosive, but I can't say that I expected him to be able to rise above the rim as easily as he does. As you know, there is one roster spot available, and the competition for this spot is going to be interesting. Steven Hill, Luke Jackson, and Shavlik Randolph all look very good. Randolph, who spent his first three years with Philadelphia, has played well. Hill, who starred for Portland's summer league team, is an NBA player, and is a very likable guy. And, of course, there's still a chance Portland could decide to extend an offer to Shaun Livingston, who is in town being evaluated. I have not seen this process up close, but I can tell you they're continuing to investigate."
