The announcers were saying this could be categorized as a punch and I get what they are saying, but they are way off. This is a mugging. Not a punch in the heat of a moment or something. Players should be banned from the game for this type of stuff. He wasn't possibly going for the basketball like Nic in the Olympics. This was premeditated and as dirty as you can get.
