Crabbe: the forgotten man

Before this season I called Crabbe the only overpaid player on the roster.

He certainly did not look overpaid last night.

More please! :)

I used to think you were the most underrated poster here, now not so much!

I think I was Crabbes biggest supporter last year. I actually wanted him to start over CJ and thought that CJ could've been MIP and 6th man of the year. Crabbe was actually really good at penetrating and getting a floater, or a mid range shot last year.
If CJ can be our manu, and Crabbe can be our Danny green... dame is way better than Parker ever was.

Now we just need a Duncan

I hate to be one of those guys.. but it's just the first game. If he can play like he did last night with consistency, he might have a shot at sixth man of the year (though I doubt it). I remember him starting last year very hot and then cooling off a lot. The thread about Vonleh is worse than this though.. Vonleh is not going to win MIP. Man, I feel like a downer but it was just one game people! Stop adding ridiculous expectations to players.

I think we all get that it's just one game, but it continues a trend we saw in preseason. It's not about the raw numbers, it's about the confidence, scoring in a variety of ways, and doing so without hesitation. The hard work is starting to pay off.

And, I'm not sure what early season games you're thinking of from last season, but Vonleh didn't score in double figures until the 46th game of the year in late January. And, that included 35 games as a starter. So, it's not like he didn't have opportunities. Last year, he averaged 1.3 ppg in October, 3.1 ppg in Novemember and 3.4 ppg in December. So yeah, 11 points in the first game of the season is definitely an improvement over the way he started last year.

Crabbe started off well last season and then cooled down, not Vonleh.

Damn, the Blazers bench is STACKED.

How far we've come in just a couple of years.

It makes me laugh when prognosticators discount or ignore the internal development of this team from last year to this. Every player on this team (except post-surgery Meyers) should be expected to be better than last season; some significantly better.

I agree, but just to be fair, I think we often do the same thing with other teams. There are a lot of teams with players we really don't know about. Who the fuck is Jonathon Simmons?
