The Clippers or any other team looking for scoring could also turn their attention to Portland's Jamal Crawford. With the Blazers (18-18) underachieving and the 12-year veteran having struggled to fit in this season, sources say he's available. Crawford signed a two-year, $10 million deal on Dec. 15, but the second season is a player option and he plans to opt out this summer to retest the free agent market.
Crawford wasn't a natural fit from the start, as defensive-minded coach Nate McMillan was said to be wary of whether his new player would buy in on both ends. What's more, McMillan's use of Crawford as the starting point guard over Raymond Felton rather than playing him at his natural off-guard position is causing Crawford some consternation.

The 2009-10 Sixth Man of the Year -- who, for what it's worth, would prefer to finish the season in Portland -- is averaging 14.5 points in just 26.8 minutes per game. But his 40.2 percent shooting is his lowest mark since the 2006-07 campaign. While it's not known whether the Clippers and Blazers have discussed a deal involving Crawford, a source close to him said they showed significant interest when he was a free agent but lacked the flexibility to get a deal done.

If we're looking to shed his ($5m) salary -- Foye (exp. contract) for Crawford works.

If taking Foye's expiring is what it takes to reverse that mistake, I'm all for it.

Crawford has put up impressive numbers as a starter so far. And over the last 16 games he's been doing great as well.

Crawford has clearly picked up his level of play. It's a shame it's all for naught.

And even you PER lovers will get a kick out of this

he's currently putting up the second best PER of his career at 17.2

Any big blame placed at Crawford is pretty misguided. He's lived up to his contract by far.

I wouldn't just give Crawford away because he is opting out at the end of the season anyway. If they want him I would like Bledsoa

yeah no kidding, teams like Clips, Minny, Chi, Lakers would likely love to have him for the playoffs. We should be able to get a decent player or decent pick. He certainly has more value then Felton.

Just wait til the usage rate lovers show up!

If we use his last two good games as a springboard for unloading him, DO IT!!! OH MY GOODNESS, DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He stat pads like crazy. And he does that whole shoot after the buzzer thing every time.

as a starter(small sample, I know), he is shooting over 50% from the field, 47% from 3.

someone just quoted Chris Broussard on ABC today as saying Clips turned down Bledsoe for Crawford? anyone else have confirmation he said this?

Foye? Another guard with a low shooting %...no thanks. Maybe Mo Williams...

Whats his PER as a starting PG?

As a starter in 5 games he's averaging 20pts/5assts on 50% shooting from the field, 47% from 3

He shot 44% from 3 the whole month of February

He has stepped it up.

Oh, I take that back then. He's our PGotF.

id have a very hard time believing that because the clips think they are a good sg away from contending with bulls/okc/miami

I don't think salaries would match to make it 1 for 1, so maybe there's more the Blazers asked for

With Crawford playing pretty well as of late he is a nice piece to trade

Is Bledsoe another undersized sg? Can't get enough of those.

and he does at least have long arms no Rex syndrome, 6-7 1/2 wingspan

He did look pretty clueless running an offense for the Clippers last year -- he's going to need some time to learn to cut down on the turnovers and actually setting an offense up. But he can defend, he's efficient finishing at or near the rim and he's got NBA level quicks. Total high-risk, high-reward kind of prospect that will need at least two years of intense development to even have a shot IMO.

I think we'd be better off drafting someone than going after an unproven 2nd tier prospect like Bledsoe. That, is of course, if we find a GM.

I really like Maynor. Feel he should be a starter somewhere.

I cannot support trying to draft a PG with the utter ineptness of Chad/Miller and whoever and our scouts in talent evaluation and deciding who to pick

Give me Anthony Randolph!!!!!

This guy has the chance to breakout at any second. His ceiling is pretty high.
