I'd much rather a pick. Don't see why you'd rather want someone passed over by 3 teams and 4 coaches already.
Because outside the very top of the draft, draft picks rarely yield anything. I'm always intrigued, as low-risk fliers, by players who have performed quite well in limited minutes at a young age. If they have athletic tools to go with that performance, even more so.
As I said, most likely he won't prove to be anything of impact. I still consider him a significantly better reward proposition than a non-top-ten pick.
