Tampa trailing in the third period and facing a 3-1 deficit. I never saw that coming with Detroit. The Islanders getting rolled 4-1 by the Caps and looking at being down 3-2 heading back to Long Island.

Not one drop surprised by the Caps game tonight. Thought they were sitting on a big home effort. I would most likely expect the Isles to win game 6 and force a game 7 though. Issue for the Isles is their D is beaten up. They have two good dmen and the rest are 6th dman types. And after tonight can they get up for Saturday? We'll see. I hope so.

As for TB, here is the bottom line...they are DOMINANT at home and a .500 team on the road (18-16 on the road). That's why they dominate games 1 & 2, and look so bad in games 3 & 4 (that is also why I wanted home ice against TB most of all).

Game 6 will decide that series. TB will go home and win game 5. They would win game 7. Can they win game 6 in Detroit?

Tampa is looking at getting shutout for the second straight playoff game.

Just like that they are tied. They are the better team we all know that, but they were doing nothing. A goal and some MO and now their speed and skill is showing.

Tampa scores two goals in a minute and seventeen seconds. Just unreal.

OT. Detroit needs to win this game. They lose it and TB wins this series for sure IMO.

It would be a very demoralizing loss for Detroit for sure.

By the way, we are ragging on Nash for not scoring goals. Look at the mighty Stamkos with zero goals and two assists.

Watched a little bit of the isles caps game tonight. Butch Goring is one of the biggest homer broadcasters ever. Complains about every call against the isles and bitches about everything the caps do. I think he is even worse than Chico.

Tampa wins it. Man, Tyler Johnson is a fantastic player. Pretty much won this on his own. Scored first one then assisted on the tying goal then won it in OT.

Goring is terrible. He might be worse than Chico. Some of you guys get on Joe, and honestly I don't know why. He is solid, doing the Hawks/Preds series, which may end tonight.

As for the Wings, they are done. I just don't see how they lose this game and win the series. I will say TB in 6 now.

First round hasn't been that great so far.

Three 2-2 series. TB could win in 6 now IMO. I think the Isles could win game 6 and force a game 7, but after the whipping and more D injuries I am not sure. Wild/Blues looks like the best series and maybe the best bet to go 7.
A sweep by the Ducks.
Habs/Hawks/Rangers/Flames could win in 5.

Could get better if some of the teams down 3-1 win game 5, I think the Canucks could force a game 6, but if not it could be a down 1st round.

Detroit was five minutes away from a 3-1 series lead. Blew it in seven minutes.

Totally blew it IMO. I wanted them to come out of the Atlantic. Now it will be TB/Montreal, not sure which team I rather face if we get to the ECF.

BTW...Rinne has really been questionable for the Preds. He has let in many soft goals in this series...MANY.

I was watching that game and had a feeling Tampa would tie it and win it... Detriot blew that series tonight they aren't winnjng 2/3

I will say this about the Wings though, they have no business beating the Lightning. Talent wise it isn't close. Give Babcock credit man, the talent on that team isn't close to upper level at all.

Yea that's why I didn't believe they would make it 3-1.. Even with 5 minutes left I was expecting then to fall apart. Mzarek blew games in the 3rd late in the season

Too funny I was thinking the same thing about Butch, especially at the end when he's suggesting that the Isles take penalties roughing up the Caps (not majors though - what a dumbass). Actually Butch that's why your boys lost the game, they seemed more focused on physical payback than scoring. Looks like de Haan is hurt for them too so Game 6 is going to be a tough one for the Fishsticks to win.

It will be interesting to see where Babcock ends up coaching next year. I hope he does not take the coaching job with the Devils or Flyers.

Detroit would be crazy to let him walk. If he leaves, look no further
than Toronto. Maple Leafs will want him more than a draft pick. lol

Good night if you want more hockey. Canucks and Preds stay alive. Now we get 4 games tomorrow.

Isles game at 3. I would love to see them win and force a game 7, but the way they lost combined with their D being destroyed by injury, and it is going to be tough for them to win IMO. With that said...go Isles.

Caps strategically took Isles off their game and the Isles responded
by playing human missiles as Caps unloaded pucks behind Halak.
Isles unloaded 35 hits in the first period alone. And all it did was exhaust
themselves the rest of the game. And on top of that, more injuries
plagued the Isles. They may be down to 3 defense men. It will be
tough to win Saturday's game. The Orpiks, Carlsons, Wilsons, Chimeras,
Gleasons, Lattas, & Laichs have punished the Islander skill players
into submission. Caps are one mean machine. :smiley-ko:

Blues drubbed Wild in their building, 6-1. It's a best of 3 series with two
games in St. Louis. Before series I thought Wild would win this series
in 7. I still think they will. :werd:

For Nashville to win series vs Hawks, it's do-or-die for them.....must win
game 6 in Chicago Saturday. It is on Rinne's shoulders. I can see
another OT game. Preds must learn to win on the road. It's like watching
two different Pred teams; the dominating home team & the mistake-prone
away team. I picked the Hawks because of Preds jekell-hyde persona. :smiley-mbb:

Western Canada has real barn burner in the Calgary-Vancouver series.
Canucks escaped with their playoff lives in beating Flames 2-1, with
Flames leading series 3-2. I picked the Canucks to win this series
thinking Miller would excel vs Flames. So what does Canuck's coach do?
He starts Lack over Miller and the Flames go up 3-1. Can Canucks sweep
next two games? Sure, but now I'm leaning toward the Flames to seal the
deal Saturday nite with Hiller playing exceptional in goal. :smiley-oh:

Unfortunately, for either of these 2 teams Anaheim Ducks sit home waiting
for their next opponent.

Eastern Canada rumble is way different. You need to look no further
than Montreal's Price. He has literally shut the door on Ottawa.
Montreal should close out the Sens tonight. Ottawa was the Cinderella
team to the Ball. All Price has done is turn them into an ordinary hockey
team. :smiley-drone:

All it took was 1:17 of game 4 for the Bolts to get the upper hand in series
between them and Red Wings. Mrazek and Wings were that close to taking
a commanding 3-1 game lead in this series. Enter Tyler Johnson and the
Bolts even this series 2-2 and I do not think it's even that close. Bolts should
win this in 6. :politician:
