Let's see, was that exchange about human trafficking in the "Fermi Paradox" thread? Or the "North Korea Nuclear Plant" one? No, it's in "Crickets", which was originally about Russians having babies here, but is now about trolling for libbos.

lol no I wasn't scared off. I was joking when I said I would be disgusted. I personally always thought Hillary was the worse candidate but Trump wasn't good either. I don't believe everybody who voted for Hillary is bad just like I don't believe everybody who voted for Trump is bad. Sure there are racist Trump supporters but there are also insane sjw hilklary supporters. Is what it is. My god damn girlfriend of 6 years voted for Hillary. I think her grandparents more so had an influence on that but to this day I still give her shit for it just for fun. What bothers me is when I see somebody like Barfo completely ignore the really true crooked shit Hillary as done just as when I roll my eyes when a trump supporter is blind to the facts as well. I fucking hated when conservatives came out for a week and said they liked Kanye just because he said he likes the idea of Trump. I was sitting there like yeah fucking right, you guys have never listened to Kanye ever and if you did you hated it and also gave him shit for his "George bush doesn't care about black people" line after Katrina.

Politics are stupid but unfortunately necessary. What isn't necessary is the constant division and hate each party throws at each other. I will always believe being considered fully on the right or fully on the left is just wrong. Humans are very tribal and I get that. Shits in our DNA. It's why we go crazy for the Blazers and get so passionate about it. Picking sides is a thing. Sometimes people need to think outside of that box, find the truth instead of being bias and just siding with "your" side just because

Tldr......

I remember admitting I was wrong about something here every so often. Can't remember anyone else doing so except dviss to me once and all he said was something about arguing with his wife or girlfriend and yelling fine!...

The board now without Denny and Dviss and @Further barely posts.....BORING!

There isn't as much variation in opinions anymore. A political post pops up and it's the same people circle jerking and that's fine but how fun is it to constantly agree with one another without hearing any other opinion and once you do hear that opinion, you just shut down the conversation by telling the person they are a trump supporter or some weird shit just because they aren't entirely shitting on Trump. It's why I just read the posts these days. No reason for me to state an opinion when there is no conversation, instead it becomes three on one and it's just lame. Progressives might I add. Yes..."progressives"

@Cippy91 , I disagree that there are conversations that are shut down just because you voted a different way. But take a look at the audience...Some might say we're old and set in our ways. I'd surmise that they have decades of experience in forming and defending an opinion or worldview, and it takes more than a meme or sound bite to have us take changing our minds seriously. I mean, a few posts up @barfo said he'd at least take a look at stuff that he may not have seen before that may change his outlook. Or not. But it was gentlemanly.

I guess I'd summarize it by saying, "If you're going to come at me, come correct."

I can't get any of them to admit that a baker turning down a photo op with Biden during a campaign isn't the same as what happened to Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

If they are just going to lie constantly nothing else they have to say is trustworthy. They don't come correct unless a fake headline they saw on Twitter counts.

I should add that Barfo is the only one that does any actual investigating. If you don't like Trump you don't need to make things up obviously.

I just posted a link in one of these threads to an article written by Alan Dershowitz...talk about crickets.
