its strange that he was killed by something other than a croc. like sting rays arent even that dangerous, they are usually pretty calm.this seriously sucks tho, i loved this guy he was always entertaining to watch and he seemed like a really nice guy. its just horrible to hear becuz hes leaving behind a wife and his children.

Rest in Peace Steve. It is a shame that you had to go, but that is what happens when you are making a film called the "Planets Deadliest Animals"

I used to love the guy and his bravery but you expected it sooner or later. He's been cheating death for many years now and eventually it will catch up with you. R.I.P Steve

To be honest, I never though he was going to get killed by an animal, he knew what he was doing when he did what he did, he didn't even know the sting ray was below him or he wouldn't have went so close to give it a reason to stike.

The video of his death with not be shown, in the video he actually pulls the spine out of his chest which is obviously too graphic for TV and nobody will be able to get it on the internet....So you will never see it and I don't know why you would.

I just saw watched Fox News and this is what basically happened. Steve Irwin was shooting a tape near the Australian shore in six feet of water in the ocean with many sting rays surrounding him. A 240 pound sting ray stabbed him in the chest with his barb and Steve Irwin died pulling out the barb from his chest. The video may or not be released and will depend on wether Terry Irwin decides to release this video to the public of Irwin's last couple mintes of life.If I'm going to die," the late "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin said in a 2002 interview, "at least I want it filmed."

That Pokemon pic is just sick. Someone died here. Show some god damn respect.
