Cronin doesn’t want the smoke
It’ll be short or a scripted Olshey special
Quick said Billups could not hide his disappointment yesterday.
That is interesting to hear if Chauncey and Joe are not fully aligned on the vision.

I know this thread isn't intended for factual information, but I'll throw it out there anyway:
- Press Conference is a 4:30
- Media will be able to ask questions, it won't be a Brooke and Neil special
- Quick already laid out his narrative on the radio, so any "question" he asks will be designed to fit within what he wants to hear.e
My guess, and just guess, is that’s when the players will be here? Why so late?
How many questions will the media be able to ask?

If he starts every answer with "Look," we know we're in trouble.
I think this is Joe's chance to talk about what he likes about the new guys and how this fits his plans for the team going forward and that's it. Those will be the only comments worth listening to. I will be shocked if everything else isn't fluff. What I hate about new conferences about players, is that it is seldom wise to give an honest answer. So why have one? Let's say a player was an ass and he created bad chemistry. Do you say that even though that is the correct answer? Not wise to throw anyone under the bus when they will come back to play against you.

It would be good to find out what is the actual plan.
In a way some of them do give an honest answer at times. “I’m not getting into that” usually translates into “Yeah, but I’m not going to say that”.What I hate about new conferences about players, is that it is seldom wise to give an honest answer. Otherwise, yeah, a lot of coach speak. And our media asks the SOFTEST questions.

"Yeah, Gary was a total prick....we couldn't wait for him to leave. Reddish? Complete numbskull, but we had to do something."What I hate about new conferences about players, is that it is seldom wise to give an honest answer. So why have one? I believe the purpose is so the media doesn't have to make multiple trips. Cleaner to do it before the pre-game press conference.
Will I be able to listen to this on the AM dial?
They need 10 minutes after 4:20?Why so late?
Nah, but I can get it to you a stone tablet. Can someone send me a summary via fax?
