Exclusive Cronin presser

Cronin says "We're going to be ridiculously agressive to do right by Damian."

I know many have been calling for that. If it's wreckless, I'm not down with it at all. I'm shocked by what he's saying.

He’s being candid as I’ve ever heard a GM. But I also think he knows his body of work so far has been awful.

Agreed. The honesty is so weird to listen to. Different from how most GMs talk and certainly a major difference from what we're used to.

"We're not big enough, tall enough, defensive minded enough..."

Confirms they moved Hart because of "financial" reasons. (Didn't want to lose him for nothing.)

I honestly wonder if Lillard is fed up with Cronin. He’s being so transparent about everything right now

Cronin is SO full of shit it's not even funny anymore at least NeO made it kind of believable but Cronin not so much

Cronin is actually being honest, talking about their failures, etc. Olshey came out after every press conference acting like they hit a home run.

No clue how you can prefer a GM who lies to the fans thinking they're too dumb to realize it.

"Confident we can win free agent recruiting battles".

WHAT?

With what cap space?

Solid defender and Cam Reddish in the same sentence?

Uh..ok.

"Thybule is a flat out elite defender"

Not a lie

Asked why he traded Payton, "The $8m exception and a 5 second round picks was too good of value"

Cronin pushed back on the report that Payton was pushed to play when he wasn't healthy. "These reports... If you knew our clearance process, it was proper."

"We had a pretty long ramp up and he was cleared. A lot of of build up to get him safely back."

Jason Quick 100% talked a big game yesterday, then with the opportuntiy to put Cronin's feet to the fire, backed down.

I'm shocked Cronin even answered the questions about Payton. That wouldn't have happened 2 years ago.

If the perception throughout the league is that we’re deceiving the Warriors during this trade., I hope it doesn’t hamper other teams wanting to deal with us in the future.

It certainly could. We are already enough of a pariah as it is.

All these GM's talk. Whatever the truth is will be known within that circle.

GS could look bad when this all shakes out.

I cant imagine that actual teams would think that unless we were somehow forcing GP2 to play while he was hurt and he came out and said that, it probably just didnt heal to some standard of some sort.

Do the warriors have the ability to say yes or no to the trade now because he failed?

That's what is being said.

Yes, they can still just say yes and take the trade despite this.

Sometimes it’s the deals you don’t make. Remember when Rockets traded Horry for Sean Elliott? Sean failed the physical, Horry stayed with Rockets and they won the title.
