Anyone else watching the game against the Spurs from the early 90's?

A 21 year old David Robinson is nowhere near the size of a 20 year old Greg Oden in terms of mass. Greg really does have a frame similar to Shaq. They both have wide bodies, unlike a David Robinson or Andrew Bynum.

I'm watching, have been since the 4th quarter. Made my wife come out and take a look at what Rip City kinda looks like.

I caught that last night. The MC was such an awesome place to watch a game. So loud. So intense and compact. I would hate to of been the opposing team playing there. I think the RG can get that maniacal, it just won't feel as "compressed," if you know what I mean. But I do believe that over the course of the next 5-10 years, we will experience a RG that we have never experienced before. A love for the players combined with perennial winning will take the RG experience to new heights. Blazer fans are as crazy as ever, and have been silenced for too long.

I grew up going to games at the MC and that place was crazy. We used to go and stand on a little space on the wall like a parking lot and watch the games. Gotta' love standing room only!

Been in there lately? I went to a Winterhawk game there about 5-6 years ago, and I couldn't believe how tiny and almost ancient it felt. Haven't been in there since. I think it would be VERY cool if the Blazers could find a way to play a preseason game in there. If they can hold a preseason game in a Hi-School gym, surely we could get a game in the GLASS PALACE!!

I go in there a couple times a year and yes it does feel tiny and ancient! I think they should have a retro night, and not just wear the old school jerseys, but play a regular season game in there. Maybe against the Sixers! How cool would that be?

I would love that, but for season ticket holders like myself it would be a logistical nightmare. Maybe they assign all season ticket holders their seats, then open up ticket purchase to the general public. That might work.

One thing I demand if they do the retro night - no short shorts. Please.

I think all you SNOBBY RICH season ticket holders could manage for 1 night.

Dude, there is nothing snobby or rich about buying season tix in the 300 level. But I will say this, I'm glad I did. Tix are going to be hard to come by, so IMO, they are an asset that I can retain year after year. And they were originally bought for under $500 for the entire season. Break that out for 41 games? It's a steal.

And no. We can't manage for one night. :)

C'Mon man! I saw you rollin' in your Benz on the way to the game the other night!

I'm hoping my stimulus package check will pay for the balance of the money I owe for my bunches of season tix. But until then, I have to rely on capitalism.

I hope a 7 footer has the seats in front of you this year!
