Yes, but the OP is saying that a 2nd rounder after 2 Summer League games is better than Travis Outlaw RIGHT NOW. After playing 2 summer league games. I love the enthusiasm, but let's get real. If he really was that good he would have been drafted in the 1st round.

Your argument, you know, the one you keep trying to use and fail again at... is wrong. You are putting too much stock in where the player was drafted. Not how he plays.

Michael Olowakandi was the #1 pick a few years back. Is he better than Vince Carter, who was drafted after him?

Kwame Brown was the #1 pick. Is he better than Gilbert Arenas who was picked in the 2nd round of that draft?

Yeah. So what do you say about that?

I'm not sure what that poster would say, but using the above as supporting evidence when comparing Outlaw against a guy who doesn't even have an NBA contract seems foolish.

Thus, this is a foolish thread, but I'm sure it served its purpose for you. :)

Your right. Outlaw is the best player in the NBA. What the fuck was I thinking, having an opinion about comparing 2 players on our team?!?!

Jesus Christ strike me down now!!! Long live PapaG!

The whole premise of this thread is on your opinion.

Yeah, and? My opinion is comparing the skills of 2 NBA players. His opinion is that a 2nd round draft pick is NEVER EVER better than a 1st round pick.

What is your point? This entire thread is based on an opinion.

Correct. Which makes arguing against someone else's opinion pretty much worthless, yet I've seen you do it in this thread.

No you are right. Fucking idiot GMs not taking Dante Cunningham over Blake Griffin! Idiots! :ghoti: Listen, I think if he was better than Outlaw RIGHT NOW he probably would have been drafted higher in a VERY weak draft. But, hey, we can disagree. That is the reason that Al Gore invented the internet, didn't you know?

I remember when Jason Kidd played his first preseason game and Bay Area pundits proclaimed him better than Magic Johnson. Kidd has had a damn good career, but whether he is better than Magic is debatable. Whether that judgment could be made on so little information is not.

Um, no it isn't. At least not by any serious basketball standard.

Yeah, and you're trying to claim as some fact that based on everything you've 'found online' that Dante is better than Outlaw. And one of your main counters in this thread is 'you fail.'

I thought Kim Jong Il invented the internets?

Nope.. try again. My point is that a player who was essentially the 6th man on a team that had HCA in the Western Conference is worth more than a 2nd round pick, ergo, I think your opinion is off base. Does Cunningham look like a nice player? Absolutely. Is he better than Outlaw RIGHT NOW, boy, instead of buying that, let's talk about that bridge you were trying to sell me again.

Yeah. In my opinion, DC is better than TO. RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!1

Again, where a player was drafted does not matter how they play. Is Bargnani better than LMA? According to you, he is.

Listen, I got to go, but if you could tell me everything else I believe that would be awesome.

You believe that Foye is better than Roy.

You also believe that swords are better than tacos.

Wow...3 pages on one fan's opinion...which last time I checked, was perfectly appropriate on a message board...

I think Dante has looked good, he knows what he is doing out there, he knows where he needs to be on both offense and defense, knows where his strengths are and utilizes them and hustles on both ends of the floor...I will be interested to see how he does....

Outlaw has great athleticism and little knowledge of where he needs to be, what he needs to do (other than shoot) and has shown inconsistent hustle\intensity....this after 6 years....but don't worry, he will break out next year...

Qyntel Woods is better than Brandon Roy.

Roy was pretty dang good in the summer, and yes I remember that Q Woods was the MVP. Let's not forget that "talent" did not stop Q Woods, his tiny baked brain did. If Q Woods has a head on his shoulders he would still be in the NBA and probably starting. Sadly he will go down as one of the biggest idiots in NBA history.

I have a copy of his drivers license though, he even signed it...

Lot's of people don't like me on the forum lol that is why 3 pages on an opinion. But I love the hate I get :)

What?

I watched Woods summer league games and was intrigued and hopeful. He had great athletic ability and could score against that competition. But, it was clear he did not know how to play the team game. Very raw.

After watching Roy play 3 summer league games I was more exited about a Blazer rookie then ever before. It wasn't even close. Roy was a revelation on the court.

You fail again.

Interesting you say that. I just read the thread, and I've actually subsequently grown more fond of Travis Outlaw and his game just by reading your ridiculous statements. So unless you're masterfully using reverse psychology, I'd say you've failed.

Cunningham has looked good, just like Batum looked God-awful last year. That could mean a lot in terms of him actually getting a contract, but as far as how he'll measure up against NBA talent in an NBA game under NBA pressure in an NBA system and under an NBA coach, it doesn't mean anything at all. Zero. Nada.

Summer league, where Kwame Brown > Joe Johnson & Richard Jefferson

You fail at posting. You say you are more fond of Outlaw because of my statements? lol nice!!! You make complete sense!

He's making more sense than you are. You don't seem to understand the difference between talent and skill.

At the risk of repeating myself: college ball is full of players with a higher IQ than Travis. Unless they also have a certain level of talent, they will never be able to score, rebound, or defend at the NBA level. A dumb player with talent can (sometimes) be trained to contribute. A smart player without talent is DOA.
