My daily driver.

Suby STi

Nice car, Fez. I had a 2.5 RS back in early 2000's. Loved the shit out of it until the tranny went and it was gonna cost 6 grand to fix. I drove around with the busted tranny for a year and then the engine blew up.

I have a 2001 2.5 RS as my rallycross car. Fantastic cars, these are. Not as fast as the WRXs and the STIs for sure, but the chassis was much more enjoyable to drive, imho, and with 300lbs less to carry - a lot more willing to be thrown around. (I have owned a GC, GD and GE chassis cars, we actually still have a GE for the wife).

The STIs are fun cars, for sure.

any tranny issues? Mine was a 99, my friend had a 00 and his shit the bed, as well. His was still under warranty, though. He's still got it.

That car handled so well, though. I used to take corners at 65- 70 mph on back roads and it was smooth.

What kind of transmission? My car has the manual (I never owned an automatic in any car). After my last race my car's clutch is currently going soft - so I ordered a new steel braided clutch line to replace the one that is in there currently (looks original). Given that the car has more than a 170K miles and it is raced in dirt, I am not upset about it.

I'll admit I've been curious, but I decided to remain straight. You had a tranny that was a 99/100? That's hot! I'm not surprised one rated 00 shit the bed, but the fact you can get a warranty against it makes it worth it. Thanks for sharing your freaky side.

1992 Honda LX Coupe
325,000 miles - immaculate interior and still runs like a top!

Anyone else got a motorcycle?

Broke the bank after getting into a prestigious law school (that offers CRAZY financial aid) to get myself a Ducati 1098 R :D

oh, and I got an '04 VW Jetta.

hahaha that's not the only tranny issue I've had, either.

Getting this (IN BLACK) when it comes out in the fall:
Nissan Leaf
nissan-leaf-02.jpg

Nissan Leaf - Fully electric, 100 miles per charge

I have a Black 05 Nissan Altima 2.5S.

We got it in 05 with about 20k miles on it for around 16k.

But lately it has been sucking. Lost a lot of power, gas hog, shakes when idling, etc...

Took it in to four different shops, including 2 nissan dealers, and none of them found a thing wrong. It sucks. I still think it got messed up when it snowed like crazy and I ran it through a ton of shit that was beating up the bottom of the car.

Today, the BMW. I drive this mostly as my daily driver in the winter, but since this summer is like a winter, I drive it a lot this summer too. I do not drive it much in the dirt anymore, however.

Bump! What has changed in your dd?

I'm thinking of daily driving a Buick Grand National - the only downside is they are huge targets to get stolen.

Any ideas to make it as steal proof as possible? Im thinking a detachable steering wheel and/or kill switch.

Man, what a sad bump. My BMW was totaled when a Ford van drove into the back of it and pretzel-ed it. I sold my KTM when we moved to California (too many things to move down there) and I sold my Subaru when we found out that the city in the bay-area did not allow for street parking - so had limited space.
