Now that's what I would call a "quality post."

thank you sir, i always knew i wasnt the only one who enjoyed the refined taste on my ever-adapting palate. maybe someday all who dare may rejoice in the furious mouth orgy that is so aptly defined simply as "pudding".

i like turtles too

Another thing to fuel the competitive juices. Keep in mind the issue of tagging:

http://sportstwo.com/forums/announcement.php?f=123

If you follow the link to the site's tag cloud (a grouping of the most common tags, where bigger font size means most popular tags), you'll see that "New Jersey Nets" is by far the most popular tag, meaning there are a ton of threads about the Nets and tagged as such.

I encourage you to tag your threads with all relevant keywords for the thread. Maybe we can make "Portland Trailblazers" the most popular tag on the site, illustrating more Portland Trailblazer discussion than anything else. Plus, the advantage of tagging is that people will better find threads of interest to them, leading to more discussion.

Here's the direct link to S2's tag cloud:

Yeah, I tagged a shit load of Nets threads when I was a mod.

I plan to tag threads, but tagging works best when it's not just one or two people's opinions on what best describes the threads.

Hmm. I guess. That's why everyone is able to use them. And why people are encouraged to use them correctly.

I had trouble at first, deciding whether to do "nets, new jersey" or "new jersey nets", and then whether or not to do players' full names or just last names.

I went the full "new jersey nets" and the full names of players, btw.

Update: we've passed Sacramento, Washington, and Memphis since I started this thread 2 days ago.

This is a competition? What do you get for winning? What does this have to do with sports? just kidding :)

There is a tenuous link between sports and competition. ;)

Is it really that big of a deal to be in first place for post count?

I don't see why there needs to be a competition among forums. We're all part of one community, but whatever floats your boat.

^^ Because it is fun to have bragging rights. Even on the internet.

Where you the kid that was always picked last and then asked why they had to keep score in gym class?:bgrin:

Wait.... God is here?

I am trying to quit you... and now, this has to be a sign, right?

I have it on good authority from Petey that the Nets forum will not take the challenge lightly.

I'm not some fat uncoordinated kid. Nice try, pops.

I'm with you joker . . . it might be fun to keep casual track of it, but I don't want to make it a competition.

That might lead me to want to chat basketball with other teams but not wanting to post on that board because of post count. I would rather fans jump around on this site and interact with other fans (mainly during the season).

Good healthy smack talk is always fun. Speaking of which Blazers are now the Bulls of two years ago. All kinds of potential and the team experts are saying will be the team of the future. What happen to the "baby bulls" and I hope it doesn't happen to the young Blazers (can't call them baby balzers, it might jink them.) : )

You don't want to have 3 years of playoffs followed by #1 pick? It'll be interesting to see how Blazers turn out. Do they just become a very good team (aka Rockets....[before artest trade]), or become a great team like the Spurs. I don't see the Blazers becoming a Lakers/Bulls like dynasty (given the strength of Utah and New Orleans going forward), but I see a Spurs dynasty as their upside...and the John Paxson Bulls as their downside. (state of the Bulls right now...who knows if he turns it around or not).

No, I don't want three straight years of playoffs with everyone talking about the team is a step away from being a title contender and end up in the lottery again. #1 pick is great, but that means being a lottery team again.

I hope the Blazers don't see the lottery for many years to come. The dynasty is always a tought thing to predict, but if Oden lives up to his billing, he has Roy and Aldrdige to ride his coat tails for many years, manybe even for so long those three create a dynasty.

It's not just those 3 guys though, that's what's scary. Their young role players all have much promise. Hell, it's impossible for me to think you guys won't win 3 in 6.
