I'm sure you are all dying to know where we stand on the all-important post count vs other team forums.
Here's the standings as of now. 21st place. However, we were in 23rd place when I looked first last night; we've since passed San Antonio and Utah.

Some will remember that it took us about 5 years to pass the Bulls at the last site. We'll check back on these standings later.

New Jersey Nets 5,843 94,447
Los Angeles Lakers 6,166 83,677
Toronto Raptors 3,504 49,719
Golden State Warriors 3,048 49,064
Houston Rockets 2,553 36,405
Orlando Magic 2,802 28,612
Chicago Bulls 2,513 26,719
Boston Celtics 2,656 26,003
Philadelphia 76ers 2,357 24,190
Cleveland Cavaliers 1,750 21,192
New York Knicks 2,175 19,747
Miami Heat 1,823 16,334
Seattle Sonics 1,680 16,212
Dallas Mavericks 1,680 14,673
Detroit Pistons 1,518 14,082
Minnesota Twolves 1,595 13,188
Phoenix Suns 1,298 11,096
Denver Nuggets 1,418 9,660
Memphis Grizzlies 905 9,125
Washington Wizards 1,237 8,956
Sacramento Kings 933 8,609
Portland Trail Blazers 921 8,235
Utah Jazz 1,630 8,192
San Antonio Spurs 846 7,810
Milwaukee Bucks 947 6,373
Atlanta Hawks 860 6,316
Indiana Pacers 769 5,329
Los Angeles Clippers 746 5,256
Charlotte Bobcats 713 5,231
New Orleans Hornets 701 4,950

Edit: the first number is the thread count, the second number is the post count. List is sorted by post count.

wrong board.

I'm with ya.

What are you two talking about? Is there a board specifically for discussion of post counts? And what would that board be?

This is very ironic, I think. What's it been, 3 days?

I have no idea what they're talking about, either. I can't even see irony because I'm so confounded by what they're talking about.

Wait, I'm sorry I jumped the gun. I thought you were talking about BBF :(

:) Well, I was when I mentioned "the last site". But the post counts are for this site.

Maybe I'll start blogging about the team and my adventures with Greg Oden... good idea?

Stop posting in this thread guys, you're just giving them more posts!

I fought the good fight for 5 years to keep ahead of the Blazers board at the last site. We have a much smaller lead right now on them, so we can't keep giving them freebies.

oops, I accidentally hit the "reply" button. Now I HAVE to post. :)

post counts are just useless numbers, its the quality of the content that counts.

Agreed; let it be known that around here, the Warriors forum is full of amazing and detailed discussion. I'm not even a GS fan but I respect that forum.

Another thing to fuel the competitive juices. Keep in mind the issue of tagging:

http://sportstwo.com/forums/announcement.php?f=123

If you follow the link to the site's tag cloud (a grouping of the most common tags, where bigger font size means most popular tags), you'll see that "New Jersey Nets" is by far the most popular tag, meaning there are a ton of threads about the Nets and tagged as such.

I encourage you to tag your threads with all relevant keywords for the thread. Maybe we can make "Portland Trailblazers" the most popular tag on the site, illustrating more Portland Trailblazer discussion than anything else. Plus, the advantage of tagging is that people will better find threads of interest to them, leading to more discussion.

Here's the direct link to S2's tag cloud:
