For many years, on the court, Kidd exemplified what professional basketball should be in my opinion.
All out hustle, a pure desire to win, and a team first attitude.
His presence could provide some entertaining basketball.
However the off court problems, his antics this season, etc make it impossible for me to hope he fulfills his personal goal of a championship.
He's an entertaining player to watch, but I feel no pain knowing his persona has moved on.
So I will probably watch their games, but root for Dallas? No.
And if Dallas wins it all, the media will of course say "Future Hall of Famer finally gets long deserved championship" ...
Things like that will only feed the entitlement complex of aging stars in the future, and it makes me sick.
