OT Dallas officer goes home to wrong apartment, kills man inside, police say

Actually reading the opinions of people in this thread are quite enlightening.
We really do not relate to each other well at all. Almost like we are from different worlds.
More different than alike.

Just realized that?

No it wasn't. The crime was committed by the cop.

Her story is she was in the wrong house. Where was the crime?

Read up on that 4th Amendment.

She commited the crime. In his house. She murdered him there, it is the secene of the crime, therefore it is a ctime scene. Still, not neccessary to go through all of his stuff. Just the immediate area where he was killed in his hallway. Why did they take his laptop? Bullshit

That's exactly what I'm talking about. It's a violation of his 4th amendment rights. You don't do this type of search on this type of crime IMO.

My take is that she fucked up. I think it's entirely plausible that she parked in the garage 1 level above where she should have. If you can accept that I think you can accept that she went in the wrong apartment by mistake. As far as witness accounts...we shall see. I find it hard to believe that she just went looking for a black man to kill. However, she did fuck up and she should be criminally charged.

Witnesses say they heard her yelling "let me in! let me in!"

So that would discredit her bullshit story that she walked into the wrong apartment and saw a shadowy figure in the dark.

Also, how do you walk into an apartment with a huge red welcome mat and think it's yours?

...why would she yell "let me in" if she thought she was at her own apartment?

...too many things don't add up...like I said, I'll reserve judgment and wait till all of the facts are in.

I will never understand the liberal logic.

They want to get rid of a persons right to protect themselves.

They congregate Cities, by the thousands or millions, which then attracts all that have no other source of support but to pray on other people. Then they support open borders to permit same from the rest of planet to join in.

Declare themselves to be a Sanctuary City, perhaps even Sanctuary State!

Then begin to protest! Protest the horrible conditions! Protest the brutal conditions!

Then they hire police for protection, hire them by the thousands. Give them a license to kill.

Then they protest some more! Mostly the Police. The brutality of the Police.

Each step feels right.

Now, they need better police. Smarter, well educated police. Better paid Police.

It feels right.

It sort of reminds me of the bait fish, forming a ball. A tighter and tighter ball, for group protection.
Then the predator takes them, by the mouthful with little effort, tightly grouped for protection. But with
no real means of physical protection.
Perfectly performing as if they were genetically designed to be victims. They were not, except for the group think.

NOBODY has ever said that so quit spewing your bullshit in this forum. People would like stricter gun laws so it makes it more difficult for idiots to own guns. You on the other hand couldn't care less who owns a gun and what they do with it.

They took his laptop?!? Wtf. About to learn he watched porn and read CNN?

I have swampland for sale!! In Lake Oswego!!!

Shame you believe such a bullshit story.

Is there a mechanism where if you don't believe you're being treated fairly by local law enforcement that thou can get the feds involved?

What can be done? Does one just have to just get fucked over, deal with it, then try to sue? What if you're to poor to afford a lawyer?

They should be invloved. Cops shouldn't be allowed to investigate ttheir fellow cops.

When you sue someone a lot of those type of lawyers are pro bono so they get a huge cut of the winnings or nothing if you lose.

There is literally no reason to conduct an investigation into someone that was wrongfully killed in their own home. None at all. I hope the family sues them.

Well, that’s just flat out wrong. Of course the victim’s place should be searched...in order to find out if there’s anything there that could provide a motive for her to shoot him. That would be critical in incriminating her. Maybe his laptop provides evidence of some sort of relationship or grudge between the two. Or maybe she hid something incriminating there. Her story is full of holes and the investigators need to find any evidence, whether in her apartment or his, that would provide proof about what happened.

Sure. A likely story when the perpetrators are investigating themselves...

I’m pointing out why a competent investigation would include a search of the victim’s apartment and possessions. Your assumption that the investigation won’t be objective may prove to be correct, but it’s only an assumption at this point. Frankly, I would think the police failing to do a complete investigation would be more indicative of the fix being in.

There's a difference between what I'm talking about and what you're talking about.

I'm saying there's no reason to investigate him for things like possession of drugs. Find dirt. Etc etc etc. I get what you're saying though. They want to make sure there wasn't motive, and maybe there was. I had read somewhere that there had been noise complaints from apartments below his (which is where she lived).

...I'll ask again, if she really thought she was at her own apartment why would she be banging on the door and yelling "let me in"?...if, in her mind she thought it was her own apartment she would have also had her own key and therefore would not have had to yell "let me in"...she could have simply unlocked the door and walked in.
...there are things here that just don't add up.

They still haven't, to my knowledge, released her toxicology report.

I think she was either drunk and it was a mistake, or she was sober and this was murder. Plain and simple.

...here's something else that makes no sense;

"The search warrant revealed that in addition to 10.4 grams of marijuana in Ziplock bags, two fired cartridge casings; a black backpack "with police equipment and paperwork"; and a black ballistic vest with "police" markings had also been found in Jean's apartment."

...why in the world would police stuff be found in his apartment?...I'm starting to think that maybe these 2 people might have known each as more than just neighbors.

I bet it comes out that they had some kind of relationship, and things went sour and she wanted an excuse to off him.

...Jules, that's precisely what I was getting at...there's just too many things that don't add up...it could very well be a crime of passion.

...but you know how it is...just about any time a person of color is killed by a caucasian many people jump to the conclusion that it was racially motivated.

Willie Nelson supports the Texan who wants to fix this shit:

No one has said that. We are saying the cover up is though.

Why the fuck is Fox noise "reporting" that he had weed in his house?

Exactly...
