Larry Birds been retired for almost 30 years now, I think we can start taking the asterisk off of the 3 point winners now.

Like every year the contestants change. Some might be the same, but as far as I remember there are also new players pretty much every year. The NBA sends out invites to who they feel are the best available and then fills out the sheet with the competitors. I wouldn't diminish it because so and so didn't accept or couldn't compete.

If there is pressure on anyone to win this it’s gotta be Dame.

Normal three-point shooting is so Larry Bird. The competition needs to modernize and the entire thing needs to be from a 30' arc. Do a step-back and get an extra point.
