Blevins is happy playing for some powerhouse team in Canada last I heard
 
It looks like his contract is exactly long enough to get the remaining individual records reasonable for a point guard if he plays two 50-game seasons at 20 minutes a game and averages 1.6 assists per game. All realistic even if he loses a lot of mobility from the Achilles.

With the way LBJ, CP3, Curry, Durant are playing at older ages I wouldn't be surprised for Dame to play until he's 40.

I might even be more surprised if he doesn't.

Now how effective or how many minutes, I don't know

Sheed definitely; Clifford didn’t have NBA three range reliably and only thrived there in the era of the closer three point line.

Dude shot 3515 threes in 18 seasons and had six years over 37%

NBA had closer line for only 3 years. Cliff was good in 2 of those years not in the third.

Bigs and players just didn't shoot 3s in that era. He might average 10 3pt a game in today's game.
 
CJ and Dame are only Blazers to shoot more 3s in their Blazer career than Cliff 3515 NBA career. Simons has 2539.

Also a bunch of Cliff shots were in the low scoring NBA era of games before the rule changes that had offense explode with no hand checking, etc.

Yeah my friend's dad hated Cliff shooting 3s and would yell at the TV for him to go inside and get a damn rebound lol.

It was just a different era. Missed 3s were considered really bad for a team.

I would trade the lure of Los Angles with Portland any day yes. Has nothing to do with their roster and assets they have right now. You know this. Everyone knows this. Why are you even asking this question? The lakers will build a team around Luka of solid veterans that want to play for a championship in LA. And they will do it playing for the Vets minimum. We've seen this over and over again.

I recall a bunch of fans saying this when the Lakers signed Melo Howard Westbrook etc and they were ultimately in the lottery. Also they struck out on all the free agents at the end of the Kobe era for most of a decade until LBJ.

Luka is a great star to build around. I wouldn't be shocked if they do get a nice roster. Also wouldn't be shocked if they don't. They are missing most their picks. The 2nd apron rules greatly favor small markets today.

The very fact that they have Luka at all tells me that the Lakers still will turn nothing into something. That franchise has won a championship pretty much every decade they have been around and as recent as 5 years ago. Thinking Portland has anything on the Lakers or Boston for that matter is homerism at its highest form.

Celtics have won two titles since Bill Walton was on the team. Sure it's nice, but it's not like they've dominated the league.

Lakers have one title in the last 15 years. A half dozen teams have better rosters in the west today. OKC and SAS futures are much brighter.

Both franchises will yes always have some very good things going for them. But their just one of many NBA teams in the mix right now. They don't have any dominant advantage like in prior eras.

Not saying we're more likely to win a title than them. We probably have better youth/picks. They have other advantages as well as a proven star.

Just seems like with the modern NBA players, performance of deep teams, and 2nd apron cap rules it's opening up so tons of teams can become a contender more often than prior eras.

Tho I don't know how much of that was taken into account.

It's Lowe. I wouldn't call BS. Whether Scoot actually cares or not just didn't vocalize it, who knows. But I'm just providing the information. He also said he talked to a bunch of Blazers staffers who are VERY optimistic about Scoot.

I was commenting on the assertion Portland "cleared" the move with Scoot. Does that mean Scoot could have vetoed the signing? I'm not finding that very credible
