Awesome achievement. If more people other than us Blazer fans watched him play, they'd understand. He just doesn't get the national lick like Road Rage does. Dude is still developing too. Bravo! Playoff success is a comin'.

This is old old news. All the writers told us in their columns and on podcasts that they were picking him. He will be 4th in MVP voting too. Nothing new here. What sucks is that, after all of this, we got swept from the playoffs and he shot 30% from the field. As El Prez intimates, it's hard to get too excited about this after what happened against New Orleans.

Well as we know the playoffs have zero to do with this achievement. Otherwise Tatum would be all NBA and Rookie of the year.
And Hakeem would own the Admiral's MVP...

That lady called the cops in Oakland on a few black people BBQing in a park a couple weeks back, threw a fit about city ordinances (that it seems they weren't breaking) and then became a meme about anything African-Americans do that's positive. Also, now there are now regular massive BBQs at the same location.

It's the best way to respond to that bullshit.

Casey is the best beat writer in the League. Love him

Massive BBQs FTW!!!!

Curry in third...beat out by Westbrook Daaaaaammmm

Congrats Dame

I love Damian as much as anyone, but I don’t understand how he got chosen over Westbrook for the first All-NBA team. Westbrook averaged a triple double this season, while Damian has yet to get a triple double in 6 years of play. If I were Westbrook I would be upset right now. He can get a triple double without breaking a sweat, but the guy who beat him out for first team has never felt the satisfaction of getting even one.

I guess I missed the part of the rule book where getting triple doubles has some significance. Russ is a stat hog. Maybe if he paid more attention to playing team ball his team would win more games.

Ouch, but so right.

Exactly, knowledgeable fans know what's up with the triple dubs he gets..

The rule book doesn’t say whether it’s better to win than to lose, either. Does that mean winning has no significance?

Was Oscar Robertson a stat hog? Most NBA analysts consider him one of the all-time greats, and he almost averaged a triple double in two consecutive seasons.

Westbrook is a remarkable player, and your criticism of him only makes you look like a homer.

Oscar Roberson was a great player who earned triple doubles before triple doubles were even a defined thing. He played team ball and he played to win. Russ is a great player who is way more concerned about his stat line than he should be. Watch his teammates help him get his rebound stats by getting out of his way. It’s hilarious:

Well deserved Dame! This has nothing to do with playoffs this year, same as every year of the awards. Nobody should mention that. Giannis is the only snub; think I would've put him over Durant, although Durant is well deserving of 1st team too. Davis and Harden had monster years, then there is the best basketball player on the planet in LBJ. What an amazing group for Dame to be a part of.

Shockingly found myself impressed with the year Aldridge had. Then he also dealt with the Kawhi drama. Would love to swap Meyers/Turner/picks for Aldridge if the Spurs rebuild.

Perhaps leading a less talented roster to a better record is a bigger accomplishment than stealing teammates rebounds.
