Boston college, ESPN did a 30 for 30 called playing for the mob.Wasn't there a documentary about point shaving and all that happening before sports betting became mainstream?
But favoritism will always be a thing as long as monopolies have a stranglehold on the sports landscape.
Yeah, maybe Reggie was talking about three point shooters and then I could see it. I think Dame deserved to be top 75 and I think he'd have a hard time making the top 50 team, I'm not saying he wouldn't make that team, I'm saying that would be a close call.I'm a big Dame fan but that's just ridiculous
off the top of my head:
Wilt; Bill Russell; Rick Barry; Oscar Robertson; Jerry West; Kareem; Hakeem; Elgin Baylor; Bird; Magic; MJ, Dr. J; Gervin; Elvin Hayes; Moses Malone; Karl Malone; John Stockton; Shaq; Kobe; The Admiral; Tim Duncan; Rodman; Pippen; Barkley; Curry; Lebron; KG; Giannis; Jokic; Durant; Steve Nash; Nowitski; AD; Chris Paul
I might put Dame ahead of 3 or 4 of those guys, but that's about it, at most
Gotta see where his career ends up? Tough to make a call like that before he is done.Yeah, maybe Reggie was talking about three point shooters and then I could see it. Reading the comments on X, Reggie was talking about clutch players.

If that's the case he is definitely in the top ten.Reading the comments on X, Reggie was talking about clutch players.

Now think if he does it with the Bucks a couple times and then comes back to Portland and does it again here?If the Bucks win it all or get to the finals twice with Dame, this is a lock in my opinion
It's hard and this is why I hate these lists. If Dame had been on a good team, like Steph, how many rings would he have and then where would he rank?
You forgot the two championships out of four in which KD, not Steph, was the best player on "Steph's team".That's the LeBron path to championships. Steph took a different path and is a bad comparison. Klay, Draymond, Looney, GPII, etc., weren't supposed to be nearly that good, and Wiggins, Iggy, Livingston, Longley, etc., were reclamation projects.
Be it coaching, late-blooming players, the way the team gelled, or Steph's influence, they grew around Steph's style of play into a championship team. That never happened with Dame.

We didn't have good enough basketball players. Simple as that. Too many one dimensional players. That's the LeBron path to championships. Steph took a different path and is a bad comparison. They actually signed him for 4 years also. Did they have to buy him out of other contracts to get him?Correct me if I'm wrong but I heard that since Doc took over as coach the Bucks are 15-16.....horrible choice for a head coach ...all he ever did was ride Thibs and 4 superstars coattails to a ring but everywhere else he's been a flop. Really poor choice by the Bucks. They could get easily bounced in the first round and then the blame will fall on Dame's reputation more than likely
I'm sure they're going to be paying Griffin for a while now as well as Doc..they're not paying two guys to not coach so Doc will be safe would be my guessThey actually signed him for 4 years also. Did they have to buy him out of other contracts to get him?

He just passed MJ for all time assists!!!
That said yeah I don't think top 10.......maybe #20?
This place is tough to keep up with. Doc went from finally using Dame right, and even getting him to play defense, to being a terrible choice from the get go...
it almost makes you wonder if posters have varying opinions or if it’s just one writer under the guise of countless monikers.
I think the rule is if someone uses the word "moniker" in a post, they also must use one of "alas" or "thus" in the same post

Alas, we are but separate entities with our own monikers and opinions. Thus, we are allowed to post what we truly believe.
I said "one of", not both. They cancelled each other so you're still in violation
