I don't know how much more a group of fans/city could welcome a guy. Happy for him, but it still hurts a bit. Wait til they see their first logo-Lillard, they will go absolutely crazy.

this is gonna be 4 yrs there and he's gonna head back to his hometown in PDX to put a bow on that career.

I dunno. Dont think his parents or bro will uproot their lives to move tbh. Maybe some hanger on cousins but not I don't see his core fam leaving Portland.

Not for Milwaukee but I bet they would have for Miami much better weather than Portland or Milwaukee in the winter haha and it's why his extended family has been so vocal because of the location.

Isn't his bro a football coach at some HS? Gina is also so embedded in the community. Don't think they'd have gone to Miami either but it is what it is.

Lillard has 2 giant houses in West Linn. His family can comfortably pack into the Portland suburbs while Lillard focuses on basketball.
 
Oh damn just saw the videos. Dame must have really separated from his wife. His whole family was there except her..

Yeah I said that initially during the walk through the crowd but was probably just tired from the flight.

Grass isn't always greener on the other side and why he tried to backtrack and say he'd stay in Portland if Miami needed more time. I think he'll come to love playing with Giannis but when you spend all summer dreaming about playing with Butler and Bam I'm sure there's some regret.
