I think Lillard would go to the owner to make sure the owner was willing to spend what it takes to win. To make sure the owner is giving the GM the tools required to win.

If the owner isn't committed to winning, that puts the GM in a tough spot.

Obviously he'd spend..I don't think Dame needs to go to PA to figure that out. All he'd have to do is look at our team payroll.

Rumors and opinions are part of life and I accept that but don;t particularly care for false rumors. Opinions and rumors based on nothing but a whim are basically worthless IMO. Your rumor has no more basis than mine where I said Durant and LeBron want to play in Portland with Lillard and is why I don;t care for many of canzano's pieces as he often starts rumors with no support which I feel is what you were doing. This whole thread has been mostly garbage based off one stupid article by canzano as you aren;t the only one that has jumped to conclusion and created a false scenario, but I also don't see any value in doing that in a forum or in person. I'm just not a fan of BS. When and if it comes out that's the way CJ feels from someone of authority then I will believe it.

Lol, you have no clue man.. I actually know a lot of these dudes, and a lot of it is playful. I post with a level of respect, except to those that have worked hard to lose it, or post cral like "trade Dame for LeBron, Love, and the 8th pick!"... You lost my respect faster than anyone... You come in here and immediately start shit with nearly every single poster... some of them have never been in drama here in their life! You're actually the first person I've called out and had no resistance on, and that's telling. You come in here and immediately contribute the most drama to this forum, then want to talk about what "common practice" is here when you've only been here for a couple months.. There's plenty of discussion that can happen off of whether Lillard had a meeting with Allen or not. Did he? Did he not? We have no way of knowing. Sounds like two people who post here, who have both provided info in the past, has said yes. What he said if there was one, and whether there was one, is all up for speculation. We're in the offseason of our team, all we have is opinions and speculation.
And yet what started off as a legitimate thread to discuss possibilities (yes, a lot of stuff bleeds over from trade and draft threads, but whatever) turns into a back and forth of just bitching and bickering and people saying you can't speculate on opinions and yadda yadda. Fuck man. It's the offseason. I want fun speculative threads, and I find myself posting here less and less because it goes from 3 pages of discussion to fucking garbage.

We have let players go recently for no return, seemingly to save money and stay under the tax threshold. If I were Lillard I'd be interested in Paul's vision moving forward as well. And I wouldn't think twice about asking for a meeting either.

You realize that staying under the tax threshold has a factor on roster flexibility, and the ability to make the team better...? Its not about saving money for the sake of Paul Allens pocketbook...

I wouldn’t be surprised if Dame and PA met again, or will meet this summer. Dame wants to win. I also wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t. Canzano is a pretty much all that is wrong with “journalism” wrapped up into one person and as I have no idea if Dame and PA met, I’d speculate though that if they met Dame isn’t there for any other reason other than to tell PA how he thinks the Blazers can get better
