I'm looking at Parker's last five games:

Vs CLE - 24 points, 3 steals, 4 rebounds, 2 assists (okay not bad)

Vs DAL - 2 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds in 25 minutes (2 points?)

@ PHX - DNP

@ LAL - 10 points, 2 assists, 1 rebound in 22 minutes

@ GSW - 5 points, 3 assists, 1 rebound in 18 minutes

Yup.... dude is DEFINITELY an All-Star.

The fact that anyone thinks that Dirk or Tony Parker are All-Stars is simply ridiculous. Some of these guys get in on name alone.

Those two would be a bigger tragedy than Kobe. No matter how distasteful it is to me to say this, at least Kobe is still a "star", regardless of current production. Those other two, not at all.

The fact that they left Aldridge off, but put Parker on is HILARIOUS. You know someone told him about it. He's not even considered the second best player on the team by Kenny and Chuck.

Exactly. The spurs are currently hiding Tony on defense, matching him up with the weakest offensive guard. He just can't move like he used to.

I would like to see Dame get a non injury nod. Losing 4/5 of his starting teammates and making the All Star game would be pretty sweet. Typically I wouldn't want him to make it. Get some rest. But this season, I really want him to get that non injury nod.

We know Kobe and Steph are going to be voted in.

Then you have Westbrook, Klay Thompson, Chris Paul, and James Harden. Honestly, I could see the Warriors having three All-Stars. Curry, Klay, and Draymond. That's not unrealistic. I think Paul is practically picked by default every year. Harden was the MVP, and Westbrook is balling out of his mind this season. I just don't see how Dame is going to get a spot..

Reserves will be Dame, Paul, Harden, Klay, Green, Cousins, and AD. What am I missing? Who will make it over Dame? Homophobic Rondo?

Well, my post was still on topic, i.e. about who should be in the allstar game. Your post called me out as a person, which is pretty much how all our debates go. Why can't you just comment on the post and not the poster?

no, your post was a bad attempt at mocking me for pointing out a well established trend that coaches often factor in team performance in filling out the roster. For this reason I won't be surprised if a 2nd Spur is honored while someone like DL, Harden or Davis isn't.
