What he did against the rockets was amazing, the kind of stuff they would show on the highlight real of a HOF player. But ultimately it will be a forgotten performance. Lillard has already led the Blazers as far in his one year as Aldridge in his many. Should Dame help lead this team to the finals, or further, he is who rip city will cling to. Blazer fans grow further removed from names like Walton and the late great Kersey, and so Rip City is ready to embrace the next King. After years of hoping Aldridge would be that guy he did us a solid and showed us he wasn't. I think it's almost irrational for Blazer fans to be mad at LA for leaving, because at the end of the day it was he who opened the door.
