Unless it's moving CJ, salary matching becomes pretty difficult.I would be completely unsurprised if we went after Jeremy Grant.

I would be very cool with that. If by the time free agency starts we have Simmons, Siakam or Grant as our second option then I'll be happy. I think Simmons is far far more valuable than the other two but I just think that freak athletes with elite basketball skills and size are a nice thing to have.I would be completely unsurprised if we went after Jeremy Grant.
He’d be a nice fit, but it would be tough. Detroit seems to be rebuilding so we’d need a third teamI would be completely unsurprised if we went after Jeremy Grant.
Stop talking about a basketball team like it's some kind of government. The fans can be convinced of whatever by the media but that doesn't end in a coup. Also, the guy they keep posting has a pretty good resume and while he's shown to be wildly unreliable, it stands to reason that he's getting his information from somewhere so there may be things to glean from it.

He was asked about the fans reaction to Chauncey point blank in his recent presser and he said he can handle that and that he knows who the true fans are and that we have the best fans in basketball. He said that the thing that was getting to him (this is last time we heard him speak) was journalists putting words in his mouth. That being said, when someone reports something about this team they're not making it up out of thin air... at least I doubt they are, so with the understanding that it probably only has a little truth in it, it's worth talking about.Damian has already admitted that he's been perturbed about the reaction towards him by "fans" for the Billups signing. If he leaves, that's a coup you're contributing to. You gave voice to a total non-story and continue to beat a dead horse.
Damian Lillard has already said the stuff coming out is hot garbage. You're literally spreading misinformation. "Journalists" like him have been beating the drum of Damian to a big market for a while now and and you're only contributing to it. When fans say "OMG the Billups fiasco is is so insane and Olshey is an embarrassment" it just makes it so. You're just echoing a hundred people on Twitter. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy of manufactured consent. Damian continues to shoot down this nonsense left and right and you keep spreading it without any named sources.
Don't get upset if and when Damian leaves and then ask the idiotic question, "what made Damian leave" when he already told you it was the fans reacting to the Billups signing. Now you're just doing it again with garbage Twitter accounts that are being exceptionally vague.

Also this idea that fans or media are going to drive Dame away from this team is absolute bullshit, it's naive. Give Dame a little more credit than that. The only reason he is even talking about leaving is because of the treadmill management has put him on. No matter how much better Dame gets and how devoted he is, he isn't seeing that same devotion from management (those are things he relayed using the word urgency). So don't try to put it on fans who comment on false reporting... when the fuck has that ever made a player switch teams? The reason Dame may end up leaving is because he decides that the team is not going to give him a chance to win it all.
Um people make shit up out of thin air all the time. For the record, I don't think he's going to leave but I DO think fans are doing the national media's job by echoing shit that is absolutely made up. "Journalists" have literally made up news about big time going to the Lakers or the Knicks for YEARS, and not because it has any legitimacy, but because the big markets click on that trash. Why do you think the media is almost NEVER reporting who the Sacramento Kings want or who the Blazers are targeting? Because nobody gives a shit outside of the city and because it's all made up. I literally attacked ESPN on Facebook for "reporting" the Lakers want Westbrook. Why not report the Wizards wanting Lebron by that standard? You're spreading horseshit and you should know it. If you think a random Twitter account knows what Damian is thinking or saying more than Damian Lillard then I have a bridge I want to sell you.
Damian has had a hard-on for Stotts and CJ for a while so acting like it's ONLY on OLSHEY as to why the team is in the place it is, is disingenuous. Dame can play clean up all he wants, but he let his feelings be known when he was getting backlash about the Chauncey signing. Saying "we have the best fans" is a throwaway line when you're trying to get out of something. Stop propping up nobodies who have "sources" but are willing to state who they are. This is basketball. Not the pentagon.
Do better. Be less naive.
I was talking about Grant, but ya, Siakam would be greatGrant or Siakam? Not counting injury history, I like Siakam but what say you?
I think Andre Miller was the best lob thrower we have ever had.
tonight dame gets traded to phila for simmons
would you do that trade?tonight dame gets traded to phila for simmons
Your computer banks have overloaded.tonight dame gets traded to phila for simmons
So basically we gat the same rosterDwight:
But sources around the league say that Damian Lillard’s public proclamation about wanting an improved roster has put the Trail Blazers in a difficult position. The perception is now that Portland is under pressure to make a big move to placate Lillard and thus, the asking price for a player the Blazers may covet has gone much higher. Prospective trade partners are now asking for a mother lode of future draft picks and several players in return for a player who simply isn’t worth that sort of ransom. It may take time before the Trail Blazers can convince trade partners that there is no fire sale going on. Olshey is not the type to make a deal out of panic or desperation.
You got me.i just wanted to trigger a few people and i succeeded
Trolls are gonna troll, I guess. How did that make feel?

That's a pretty good point. Aaron Rodgers was just saying the same thing about players coming to Green Bay, and you couldn't really argue with him on that either. I really hope Neil is able to do something tonight to prompt Dame to say something committal and make our tax-MLE more viable.I think it goes beyond even this. The one huge asset that the Blazers had in enticing free agents to sign here, whether that’s getting someone good with the Taxpayer’s MLE or re-signing Powell, is the chance to play with Dame and, hopefully, contend for a title. Now this FA’s aren’t sure Dame is committed to being here. That makes it even harder for Olshey to do his already hard job. Dame really shit the bed in the way he’s handled this, IMO. Put pressure on management to improve? Sure, but do it behind closed doors or at least make it clear that you’re committed to being here for a year or so.

NoIs it appropriate to say that Dame handled this offseason extremely poor?
