I just don't get this? Abbott is literally speaking for the guy that is telling him he's wrong. I just......

Reminds me of when KD went on that Twitter space a few weeks ago, arguing with fans that believed a story about him when KD is literally sitting there telling them it was wrong. Like, what? I understand you want to make sense of a situation, but when the person in the story is right in your face talking to you directly and you continue to double down because the counter story makes more sense to you.....like....?????

People are so fucking stupid sometimes.

Nah, Abbott is having an epic meltdown and he's posting some stream of consciousness shit. Dude is probably done now. He couldn't leave it alone, he kept calling Dame a liar, Dame finally addressed him directly and he basically said that Dame was being unfair because Dame's career wasn't at stake so he should have let Abbott just lie about him for Abbott's careers sake. That has me shaking my head.
 
The one good thing about the power of the internet....... usually, the media always wins because they always get the last word in and they will protect one another. But as much as I hate Twitter, it does allow an effective way for athletes to respond without it being taken out of context.

Nah, really if you read Abbott's last tweet he's no longer saying he was right, he's saying Dame is mean for finally killing this guys credibility and career. Dame gave the guy a lot of chances by referring to media in general but Abbott doubled, tripled and quadrupled down until Dame had to burn him specifically. Then Abbot cried about it.

He should have taken the hint when Dame disputed him specifically but did the guy the favor of labeling it media in general. I'm sure Abbott is talking to someone who knows Dame and is giving him bad info but when Dame said it was bad info, Abbott should have just backed off. Also I don't know why after the big presser there needed to be more reporting on this. Dame said the team is on the clock, what more needs to be reported?

Of course you won’t because a Grey area lets you assume victory. Where as everyone correctly saying that it had negligible impact (read an additional future first in a blockbuster) means you’re point is basically without merit because the impact is tiny at best.

The truth is you were right about free agency. We can't blame Dame if the team still isn't steady when free agency hits, that will still be on Olshey for not taking into consideration the time sensitive nature of this situation. Urgency was Dame's goal and hopefully (because it doesn't cripple Neil's ability to trade) Neil will make the trades urgently so it doesn't cripple his already very limited abilities in free agency.

I’m actually pretty sure our FA signings get a lot better actually. How? Because Dame has forced a CJ + assets for Simmons/Siakam like trade and who wouldn’t want to play with Dame and one of those guys?
