What's with Dame's final injury? Assuming that will heal before the season starts... but what if he were to sit back and see if Neil is going to do a damn thing?
He said we aren't good enough.

Funny cuz going into the playoffs, he talked about how mature and businesslike the team was and that this was the best team we’ve had in years. Now they suck?

They were awful in the playoffs against a short handed team. Playoff basketball is different than regular season basketball.

Yep because he thought that and they got their asses handed to them by a Nuggets team that was missing two starters and another rotation player. That Denver squad then got swept by the Suns. It was a reality check for Dame. He might now think that he was overreacting or maybe he's still of the same mindset that he communicated before he left for Japan. Hopefully Dame's optimism doesn't make him forget that this roster just isn't very good. A lot of collected talent but not a lot of that talent fits. Better than half the league but worse than the rest probably isn't enough for Dame. I know it's not enough for most of us.

If you're going to say that Chauncey is going to make everything better I'll probably just think about the fact you thought the team that got beat by the hobbled Nuggets was a real contender and that Stotts was great.

So you're saying you want to trade Damian for Russel Westbrook?

So you want to trade for a guy who shoots worse from the floor (in as much as range/distance), significantly worse from 3, even more significantly worse from the FT line, isn't reliable in clutch, is older/has more mileage and clearly past his prime?

I get gimmicks, but this is just silly. The Blazers trading Damian for Westbrook would be a joke. The Lakers would do that in a second, without even flinching. Why? Because Damian is a better shooter, more clutch, dependable and doesn't get taken out of games/series because he's a nutbar.

Just when you’re starting to feel comfortable… I just spoke with a friend of Dame’s brother for about an hour about Dame’s desire to leave. Very frustrating. Apparently it’s close to 100%.

It's the end of the Damian Lillard era. Just prepare yourself. All of this smoke did not come from no fire. Gotta rip the bandaid off at some point. We failed him as an origination, and the next era in PTB is about to start.
