In 2007, the mogul publicly accused the Clintons of being liars and threw his support behind Barack Obama, but this election year he's staying neutral.

David Geffen isn't backing anyone in the presidential race for now.

The music mogul revealed to The Wall Street Journal that he is not throwing his support behind either Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. Records reported by the paper show that he has given $2,700 to each candidate, the maximum donation an individual can give directly to a primary campaign.

Ok. I think it is a little weird to donate money (even a trivial amount of money) to someone you don't want to win.

I won't be donating to Ted Cruz, for example.

But, it's a free country and it's his money.

Hillary's too shady and they might indict her.
Bernie's too old, crazy and just looks like he should belong to the Lemon Party.
Trump is too extreme.
Rubio is too green.

I get it, but I don't think he means regulated $2700 size donations. I think he's talking about taking super PAC type money.
