That's one of the worst takes I've ever seen you offer up, Ed. There are a lot of people (perhaps a majority) on this board who post negative takes on the team or franchise. A lot of them can back up their opinions with facts and a reasoned take. I don't have any problem with those kinds of opinions or the people who post them, and I don't think many other people do. MIXUM just posts negative drivel over and over again to see if he can get a rise out of people. Anyone who doesn't agree with his take is a "homer". It's not a difficult distinction to make.

look it, I say what i see. lots of you dont want to hear the truth about some of our players. thats your preference if you wanna lie to yourselves but im honest. for example, a guy like Rudy. when i watch him, i see careless turnovers, streaky 3's and poor defense. The blazer homer will say "ahhhhhh hes a great passer... and um um kpee picked him... and ummm um hes money from 3 and ummm he will get better, cause he has potential and umm kpee is never wrong." that will be followed by stats.

who cares... hes not that good. i dont need rudys stats to tell me.

Actually MIXUM posts more links to Blazers-related than any other poster, I would be. Further, there's a clear distinction between "negative drivel" towards the team and starting posts about other posters, calling them out for being crappy: one is allowed (since it's about the Blazers) and one is not (since it's about other posters).

Some posters arguably do the former. At least one indisputably does the latter.

thats some laughably deluded BS you're throwing out. Evidence/facts can't be used to counter your opinions? Your observations/predictions have hardly been proven infallible yet you're saying that those who disagree are only lying to themselves? Holding an opinion on what might happen is not the truth, it's only a guess. No need to be a jerk when people disagree with your guesses.

You really should consider a career in politics, Ed. Rather than addressing my prior post, you simply posted what you probably should have said originally. I don't disagree with what you said here and wouldn't have even bothered to respond to it.

What I object to about your original post is you painting all people who object to MIXUM as simply being thin-skinned and unable to hear any criticism about the team. You said:

IMO, that's bull. As I said in my previous response, it's not the negative comments about the Blazers that are objectionable, it's the lack of any reasoning to back up his takes and the aggressive, "Here's MIXUM's truth, dispensed from on high, and anyone who disagrees with it is a mindless homer" attitude that wears very thin. Sure, MIXUM's posts are on-topic, but that doesn't mean that they aren't written in a manner primarily intended to bait other posters. Personally, I don't give a rat's ass what he says and generally ignore him. I do, however, tend to pay attention to your opinions because, whether I agree with them or not, they're typically well reasoned. In this instance, I don't think it's a reasonable take on your part to paint everyone who has an objection to MIXUM's schtick as living, "in a world where everyone other than them is a troll."
