Thank God stupidity didn't just possess Martell today. That was an obivious foul that was called correctly. That's all I ask. Miller fouled Fisher, and Marty fouled Kobe late in the game. Both were called correctly as well.

and PS I was actually at game one of the playoffs last year and that game wasnt due to refs.. it was due to our pussy defense and shooting 90% jumpshots and being off. Good thing I watched it in building though, cause I wouldnt have been able to see that on tv

This pretty much sums it up for me. What happened in that 5 second period was beyond horrible. I mean both calls were absolutely unbelievable. Calls are missed. That is part of the game. But to compound the mistake by calling an offensive foul 35 feet from the basket can't help but make fans think of Donaghy. The wierd part of it, was the refs actually did a great job the other 47 minutes and 55 seconds. WTF was that mental lapse in those 5 seconds about. It was pathetic.

I have to admit, those late plays were so obvious that they had to be called. But one was a no call and the other went the wrong way.

In the first highlight part you can see Malone (?) running in front of a player. At first glance it sort of looks like he is just running next to him, but I believe he is running in front of him as in blocking him from getting around. He starts to do ti before the ball is put into play. You can kinda see it in the third highlight too.

Yup -- I found another clip that shows it even better. That player Karl's harassing happens to be the Glide, making it even more of a sin. I had forgotten about that game until now!
