The Delaware 87ers (12-33) faced Maine (18-25) for the fifth and final time this season, outlasting the Red Claws 147-142.
Damien Saunders got the Sevens off to a quick start, scoring 12 points in the first quarter. Saunders was named Adidas Player of the Game, dropping 31 points and pulling down nine rebounds.

BJ Young had a solid game and put the Sevens ahead for good on a lay-up with less than two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Young finished with 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Rodney Williams, who finished with 11 points and four assists, threw down dunk after dunk, helping the Sevens maintain their lead with a huge slam with less than 11 minutes remaining in the fourth. Thanasis Antetokounmpo who finished with 21 points and six rebounds, sealed the game with a slam of his own with 14.8 seconds remaining.

Frank Gaines led the Red Claws in scoring with 37 points in the first half and finished the game with 47 points. Six Red Claws scored in double figures.

The 87ers are back in action tomorrow, Saturday, March 22, when they host the Canton Charge at the Bob Carpenter Center at 7 p.m.
