Demonoid.me registrations are open

lol I went to register and apparently I already had an account from 2007. I had no idea.

is it exclusive or something?

Just a torrent site that requires registration. I registered with a code a friend gave me. I remember some talk about torrent sites a while back and someone asked for a registration code for "demonoid.com" which is now demonoid.me.
I haven't noticed registration being open for quite some time, so I thought it was worth a mention to some who post here.

I've been using Revolution TT for a few months and it's amazing. There's never any junk on there at all. If they ever open up invites again I advise you to try it.

Wow, that site is $$$$$. No worries of Trojans or viruses. It's a really tight community. Baracuda you are THE MAN!

Yup, there's a filter you can set at the top right above the list. There's about 8 different ways you can sort it. They are all in a drop down menu.

I was trying to just sort the top torrents but it looks like you have to search for something first.. Makes sense haha

This is my first adventure into the torrent world, so it will take me awhile to figure it out. Wish me luck! Any advice?

Hm, there isn't much to advise. Make sure the torrent has a good seed to leech ratio. Read comments to see if they're high quality. Use uTorrent as your tracker. Don't go crazy on the Torrents; your ISP will become aware if you start downloading a shitload of data and will start to throttle your bandwidth. Happened to me before.

OK. I downloaded uTorrent last night. It got the best ratings for torrents on Cnet.
Are people able to download stuff from my PC if I have uTorrent open?
"seed" and "leech"???
Would like to see some porn and more workout videos on demonoid! :)

Seed( er)? Leech( er)? Peer? What are you talking about? (Terminology)

These words are BitTorrent terminology. A seed or seeder is a person who has a full copy of the content in this torrent. They are either the original distributor or someone who has completed the download and is just uploading. A leecher is a person who has begun downloading this torrent and does not have a full copy as of yet. Also referred to as a peer. A hit-and-runner is a leecher who completes the download, but doesn't seed until they reach a ratio of 1.0. Of course, this is frowned upon. These hit-and-run users are often called leechers, as in the parasite, the blood-sucker that lives in the tropics. Although the same word is used as someone who hasn't finished downloading, it is also used as a derogatory term.

Download "peerblock" and install it...of course.

This is pretty interesting stuff, I knew nothing about it and had to research the subject. From everything I have read this works like the brain of a live animal. I wonder how long before it becomes self aware, ie skynet hehe
