But this Yankee team is unwatchable as any in recent history. Is it too early to think of some of the vets we can jettison for young triple A prospects including starting pitching and outfielders? I'll start it with chatman, gardner, beltran, tex, pineda and the untradeable twins headley and ellsbury. Feel free to add.

I'm being reminded of the late 80s and early 90s with this group. Maybe it's payment for all those playoff years but mistakes should've been avoided. Tex and Beltran come off the books after this season. If they're really in the toilet come the deadline try trading both them for any possible thing you can get. Even though Cashman has given out no trade deals like candy so you will have to convince them if a contender is in need. Arod can and should not be back next season regardless of what they have to do with his deal. Then you have Headley and Ellsbury with the later being an awful bust of a deal. I don't know what you can possibly do with that. Headley is not hitting at a major league level and belongs in the minors.

I have never associated any Yankee team as "dreck", but
this team does play like trash. And it's no coincidence that
their 'top' farm team has no one to call up to fill the void.

The Yanx have not had this bad of an April since 84, and 84's April was even a worse than those horrid 89-92 Yanx....
A .333 Win Pctg%, so far this year, while the 90 Yanx had a .421 WP% for April, then commenced to fall flatter on their faces, winning but 67 Games....
.333 ties t/Yanx with Houston, and a notch above the Twinkies .296 Win Pctg. The only team in the NL worse than the Yanx, are the Braves, tied with the Twinkies for wp%....
After One Month of Play:
Yankee God's are Grumbling, expect lightning rods soon...
Amongst MLB's worst teams in:
There are a lot of exciting games on these days, but not the Anemic Yankees, no excitement at all. (Cubs back to back to back, 2 Run RBI's on Sunday, wouldn't that be special, hats off to Maddon-Theo)...
For the Yanx its hard enough to get men on base, let alone drive RISP home, very very deflating to watch...
