Derek Anderson tirade

He should have said they weren't smiling about the game, but other than that I don't see a problem with what he said.

The appropriate response would have been 'he told me a joke about your mom'.

I think it was a legit question since people watching probably wondered the same thing. The smile could have meant anything since we do not know the context though.

DA could have shown composure, but chose not to. Sort of reminded me of the Ryan Leaf meltdown.

As someone who has watched beleaguered teams almost exclusively (Raps, Bills, etc.) I can testify that nothing bothers me quite like when players are hamming it up during a loss. Looks like Anderson was caught having a laugh, denied it, then just got angry as a way out of the line of questioning.

Didn't an Arsenal player do that a couple of seasons ago? I want to say it was Fabregas!

He didn't have to lose his cool. He's also a terrible QB so he's on edge.

All he has to do is say, "I was laughing at something else. Joking helps me get in a more positive mental state", something like that.

True, you don't see Peyton Manning crying when he blows games.

Yeah Brady too is very calm under pressure. I didn't see one tear after 18-1.

I have no problem with Anderson reacting like that.. but I have no problem with the reporter asking. He asked what was said, Anderson said it wasnt his business. Could have left it at that.

I like the reporter asking that. I liked that he called him out on it and didn't just leave it at that when Derek freaked out at first.

Also, I think Derek saying crap like "I put my heart and soul into this" was extremely cheesy. Not saying it's not true, but jesus christ that was cheesy.

It was pretty emo.

Reporter successfully trolled Derek Anderson. Anderson looks pretty stupid in that clip. If you can't handle questions like that without exploding into rage, don't sign contracts to make money by playing sports in the public eye. He can play in a rec league and no one will care if he smiles while his team is getting crushed.

He probably reacted that way because he was afraid it would look like he didn't care if he didn't defend himself with anger.

Different tirade, by Bills receiver Stevie Johnson. Didn't think it needed its own thread:

Stevie Johnson blew it for the Bills on Sunday. So how'd he handle it afterward? By blaming God on Twitter, of course.

The Bills wideout dropped what would have been a game-winning catch in overtime against the Steelers on Sunday. The Steelers went on to win the game, and after the game, Johnson was left searching for answers. So he turned to his Twitter feed.

"I PRAISE YOU 24/7!!!!!! AND THIS HOW YOU DO ME!!!!!" he tweeted late Sunday afternoon. "YOU EXPECT ME TO LEARN FROM THIS??? HOW???!!! ILL NEVER FORGET THIS!! EVER!!! THX THO..."
