Texas Gov. Greg Abbott claims election reform bill passed by House could result in Democrats 'using cocaine to buy votes' through ballot harvesting
  • Abbott claimed Barack Obama knew of ballot harvesting during his presidency
  • Abbott's comments come in response to H.R.1 passing through the House
  • The bill, which would overhaul voting, has not been introduced in the Senate

Full quote to provide context. You lie a lot based on what I’ve read of your posts. Why, when it’s so easily debunked?

Obama sent in the FBI long before Abbott was Governor of Texas. That’s what Abbott was referencing. When Obama arrested and prosecuted people for buying votes for cocaine.

Did you even read the article? Even the real quote of what Abbott said is false in your post.

'It was Barack Obama himself who knew about the dangers of ballot harvesting in the state of Texas,' Abbott said.

'Because under his administration, he sent his U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas as well as the FBI to south Texas to arrest and to prosecute people who were involved in ballot harvesting that were using cocaine to buy votes through the ballot harvesting process in the state of Texas.

Ted Cruz: The Booger on the Lip of Democracy.

DeSantis is under federal investigation? Is there anyone in the GOP the Dems won’t sic the FBI on to investigate?

Your post is dumb, yet again, because older people are the most at risk and are abundant in Florida. Every post I read from you is nonsense.

Source it please, and not that stalker kook Rebekah Jones, who has been fired from her last three jobs now and arrested after each firing.

Is there anyone left in the GOP who isn't worth a good ol' FBI investigation?

If we're discussing future GOP presidential candidates, my money is on Tucker Carlson. I can't stand the guy, but he's basically a smarter, younger, more coherent version of Trump, with not as many skeletons. If he runs, I think the Dems can still win, but if it comes down to him and Kamala Harris, it's going to be close.

"Ron's regime"...love it.

“What we’re seeing is Ron’s regime in action — freedom, fairness, and the balance of power lost this session,” Democratic Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, a likely 2022 challenger, said in an interview.

A Florida Democratic consultant not currently aligned with any potential gubernatorial candidate said the political fuel the Legislature delivered to DeSantis is bad news for Democrats.

“I don’t know that I see anyone on our side who can beat him,” the consultant said, speaking on condition of anonymity because they did not want to be seen as criticizing Democrats. “Even the culture war-type issues he picked poll well. They are not super unpopular.”

Freedom? You mean voter suppression. Fairness? Prioritizing getting vaccine to wealthy white communities, and his donors.

Florida's anti-trans law not only bans transgender girls and women from sports, it literally in so many words allows school authorities to inspect the genitals of girls they "suspect" might be trans. You know, tall or strong or gender nonconforming. Or whatever these untrained people think.

GOP Gov. DeSantis signs Florida election law while shutting out all media but Fox News

KEY POINTS
  • Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the bill, SB 90, in a closed-door event that blocked out all reporters and media coverage — except for Fox News.
  • The NAACP promptly filed a federal lawsuit alleging the law violates the U.S. Constitution, the Voting Rights Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Florida is only the latest GOP-led state to push for new voting restrictions.

Tucker is a not very coherent racist.

Oh definitely. But I also used to think that disqualified Trump.

Say what you want about him (and honestly, I welcome it!), but Tucker is more coherent than Trump. Take any random paragraph of text either has said and compare them.

Tucker Carlson scares me because he's like Trump in all the worst ways, and so much better at being Trump than Trump is. And he's only 51 years old. We could be living with his bullshit for another quarter century or more.

DeSantis signed voter suppression law at a meeting of a Trump fan club live streamed on Fox with all other media excluded. Because it's all about election integrity of course!

Looks like DeSantis is eyeing a 2024 run for president and Cruz and Hawley are pretty much guaranteed to run.

This will be interesting to watch. I just don't see embracing the Cult of Maga is a path to the presidency for anyone besides Trump.

And how do these 3 set themselves apart from each other to the Cult of Maga without trying to be more extreme than the other two?

Trump won in 2016 not because of his Maga followers but because he attracted a lot of middle-of-the-road voters. He lost in 2020 because he lost a big portion of those voters.

And then you have the strong possibility that Trump himself will run again.

Just not understanding the path to the presidency by all of them.

@MARIS61 as our most vocal Trump supporter and believer in his conspiracies do you see yourself supporting others instead of Trump?
DeSantis should concern himself with solving the problem of making apartments and houses in Florida more safe first and then he can think about a Presidential run.

"Cleanup on aisle 45, please!....."

;)
Good grief, I've never seen a grocery store with anything near 45 aisles. Where the hell do you shop, the military's strategic reserves store?
